I know we ain't speak in a couple weeks but my momma and Mika decided to have a gender reveal and even though we ain't together, I know you would probably wanna be there next Saturday at her house @3

(Day of the Gender Reveal)
It's was going on 3:40 and just about everybody was here already... everybody except Kentrell. Since we ended on a bad note the last time I saw him I really wasn't tryina get my hopes up high about him showing up but at the same time, it's his baby too
"Jodie" Amika called my name as she handed me a plate a food while I sat at the table. I grabbed it from her and sat it down
"Thank you"
"You're welcome... you good?"
"Yeah... I'm just hungry"
"Even though you probably are... I still don't believe that's the reason why you looking like that"
I frowned
"Like what"
"Jordyn I know you looking for Kentrell. It just started, calm down and give him time. You know how boys are" she joked trying to lighten up my mood so to make her feel better I laughed. I looked at the button she wore on her shirt, seeing it said team girl
"I know you lyin"
"What?" She asked confused
"Why you wanna girl?"
"Cause you'll look cute with a girl. Plus I been praying for a goddaughter so..."
"Well don't get your hopes up too high cause I know Issa boy"
"Don't speak that kinda negativity over my god child" she touched my stomach and my momma walked over to us
"She still praying for a girl?"
I nodded and my momma laughed. While Amika helped plan, only my momma knew what the baby was
"I'm just ready to find out what this child is"I rubbed my stomach then ate a meatball
"Well just wait. You got a little bit longer"
"I wish y'all would hurry up"
All of a sudden it got loud for a split second so I looked where the noise came from and saw the gang walking in. Although I wasn't doing backflips and shit I was still happy to see that Kentrell actually showed up. My momma started smiling and walked over to him, greeting him with a hug which made Amika and I look at each other
"I'm still tryina figure out why she like him so much. She don't like people" Amika said to me and I shrugged
"I wish I knew myself"
"Lil Jodie!" Ben greeted me as he and the guys walked over to the table and I stood up giving them hugs
"I ain see you in a lil minute"
"That's cause im always at home minding my business" I replied to Ben and Kd touched my stomach
"You fat as hell ain it?"
"fuck you" I slapped his arm and he laughed
My mom and Kentrell walked over to the table eventually and Kentrell and I looked at each other until he finally reached me. Surprisingly he pulled me into a hug
"Wassup"
"Hey. Thank you for coming"
"Thank you for inviting me"
We pulled out of the hug and while I sat down he took a seat beside me and my mom pointed at him "Kentrell you hungry? You want something to eat?"
"Nah I'm straight" he looked over at me "you need some"
"No. I got my food"
"Trust me I already made sure fat momma got her food"
While I started to eat my food again I could feel Kentrell's hand be placed on the back of my chair but I didn't mind because it didn't bother me any
"How my baby doing?"
"The baby's fine. It's won't stop growing so I keep blowing up"
Kentrell snickered and I cut my eyes at him
"I'm glad that's funny"
"You'll be aight."
His hand then moved onto my belly and I smiled
"Say.." Ben walked over to where we were sitting and placed a hand on both of our shoulders "when my nephew or niece get here, what y'all gone do?"
"Whatchu mean?"
"Y'all gone be on good terms when the baby come? Cause y'all know y'all gone be sharing a baby"
Kentrell shrugged "shit ion know. That's up to shawty"
"Me? Really?" I asked and he nodded before looking away and I rolled my eyes
(A while later)
"Okay when we count to three they're gonna pop the balloon and reveal what this baby's gonna be"
I just sat there, impatient at this point. I was just ready to see that it was a boy cause I could feel it
"1....2....3"
As soon as they got three out I popped the balloon. When I realized the confetti was blue I jumped up and down, beyond ecstatic.
The first thing I could do was hug Kentrell who surprisingly hugged me back. That's when I realized he was more excited than I was about having a boy
"We got a boy" I laughed, pulling back from the hug to look him in the face and he wore the biggest smile. Kentrell pulled me into him again for another tight hug and I didn't decline it. I hugged him back and we just stood there in each other's embrace, sulking in the moment
