Y/n fell onto the ground her tears that had been frozen for a long time fell finally as she looked at her mom's pod
She cried for a solid 3 minutes before she was all cried out, she had no idea what to do, where to go or even if she could get out
The little girl walked past the pods with all her old neighbors, all of them dead
She wiped her face sniffing as she walked out although she quickly got lost in the labyrinth of the vault
After what seemed like hours she found the giant vault doors that kept her locked in, she knew it was the way out but had no clue how to open them
She tried, and tried again and again, pushing every button, entering every code she could think of, again and again
*2 days later*
The child was so weak, starving, dehydrated, exhausted, she felt near to death as she had collapsed to the floor......half dead
But something rumbled.....something creaked, and everything shook
She opened her eyes to see the giant vault door slide open, sunlight streamed in and voices could be heard
???: these old vaults give me the creeps like being in a tomb
??? 2: yeah, this was a lot like the one I was in
The voices came closer but y/n couldn't even muster the strength to whisper
???: hey blue, look
She heard their foot steps come right to her
???: poor thing
She felt a pair of fingers on her neck in the place mom had shown her to find a heart beat
???2: holy shit......she's still alive
???: are you for real?
She was rolled over and she could see two people, one was a woman with red hair and nearly golden eyes
She had a soft face but it had dirt all over it, another woman also came into focus, she wore some kind of hat and had a red cote
???: we gotta get her to a safer place, sanctuary is the closest
???2: yeah....hold on kid
Y/n looks at her as her eyes slipped shut catching a glimpse of the blue vault suit the red haired woman wore
