I sat at my small island connected to the kitchen ate as Ross sat three chairs away from me.
On the first day that he moved in here we both established some rules for each other.
One of them being to never eat in our rooms to avoid mice.
I would rather see a mouse crawl under my foot right now than have to face this embarrassment.
I still don't know if he heard me and quite frankly, I don't want to know.
He stared at his phone but I was too anxious to use mine. I tapped my foot anxiously as I ate.
Ross tended to smirk at his phone every now and then, but maybe it was because he saw something funny.
Hopefully.
I found the urge to use my phone.
My phone was flooded with messages from Quinn.

She called me within seconds and my ring tone gathered Ross' attention.
He looked in my eyes and smirked once again.
Oh god he knows.
I answered the phone. "Yea?" I asked.
"Hi stupid. Can I say hi to your roommate please?" Quinn asked.
I knew ross heard so I handed him my phone.
"Hi." Quinn spoke.
"Hey."
"So how's your new roommate?" She asked.
I lightly bit the inside of my cheek as she embarrassed more and more.
Ross looked up at me. "She's cool." He looked back at the phone and grinned.
"Okay. I'll tell Antonio you said hi?"
"Yeah that sounds good."
"Alright, bye!"
"Bye." He hung up and gave me the phone. Luckily, I finished my food.
I quickly washed my plate. "Thanks Ross." I said to him.
"No problem."
"How much was it?" I asked so I could pay him back. He shook his head.
"Don't worry about it." He said.
"You sure?" I asked.
He nodded and I turned my heels and walked to my room.
