North and south searched the apartment looking for anything that might lead them to the killers
They found nothing at all
North: fuck
He sat on the parents bed only to hear a small squeak, south looks at the bed then to north
South: get up slowly
He did and south threw the bed into the wall as they both aimed their guns down
The thin that they had both had their guns trained on just happened to be a child, age approximately 6 years old, earth standard
South: shit......it's just a kid
North: language south
South: um English, what the fuck do you want?
He sighs and gets on the kids eye level he signals south and she did the same
North: calm down kiddo, I'm north, this is south, can you tell us who you are?
The child looks up at them scared and confused, their eyes still wet with tears
Y/n: I'm y/n, I don't know what's happening, where's my mom and dad?
North looks down
North: shit I'm sorry kid.....they....they didn't make it, their dead
South punched him hard in the arm, causing a clang as their armor collided
South: what the fucks wrong with you, you can't tell a kid that
North: what am I supposed to do lie?
South growls and looks at the kid
South: come on kid, it's not safe here, you need to come with us
North saw that the child was broken, and couldn't even move so north bent down to pick them up, to his surprise south stopped him and did it herself
South: don't want you to destroy their world again do we?
She said in her infuriating sarcastic manner
Wash walked in looking at them
Wash: ah crap, get em on the ship, maybe the director will know the right thing to do
South: yeah, maybe, but he's not known for doing the right thing
North: south.....
South: it's true, and you know it! He takes risks with our lives, plays favorites wit Carolina, and probably a ton more crap we just haven't heard about yet
North: quit being paranoid, distrust in our commander will get you killed when you don't listen
South: what's gonna get me killed is newbie over there
She pointed a thumb at wash
Wash: did you say something?
South: your hopeless wash, completely hopeless
North sighs
North: let's go home sis
He walked towards the ship
