           SETH CRUZ had a tendency to play with feelings, juggling around hearts like a circus act. He never felt guilt nor remorse in his actions─he was simply numb to the emotions of love or feelings, as far as he's concerned, it doesn't exist. There was once a time Seth believed he'd find his true love someday . . . but he then grew up. Yet, she lived in the real world─her sister's mascara smudged tears and sniffles reminded her of that. Boys weren't as charming as they are portrayed in fairy tales and in her generation, you never know who to trust. There were certain guys Cassie warned her younger sister about.

And Seth was one of those guys─cocky, attractive and a player. He didn't expect the level-headed, mature girl to have such an effect on him but he couldn't deny he liked it, no matter how much he convinced himself otherwise. Lexi Howard was beating him at his own game─and she had no idea.
