so, I'm writing this story rn (I probably won't put it on wattpad bc idk but it currently resides in my google keep and no one knows about it ree) and I was rereading the first 3 chapters and I'm rlly proud of chapter 2's ending so here-

"Hey, Carr! Haven't seen you since, what, 4th period? It's been a crazy da-" I was cut off by a new seemingly ticked off tone.

"Really? I remember seeing you in 5th, 6th, and 7th period. Guess it really was a crazy day for you." I could tell he was trying to be sarcastic and cold, but there was a more-than-slight undertone of hurt that tugged at my heart. I stood, cheeks burning in embarrassment and guilt, wanting to fix everything at that moment. I reached out to hug him, seeing him pull away from my arms, mumbling.

"We both know it's too hot for hugs right now..." He whispered, voice cracking painfully. I couldn't take it any longer. I latched onto him, arms securing him.

"Well I guess you're gonna have to be a little warm."
