To elaborate, the best thing authors can do is create a book that completely overtakes its readers, and when you include such complicated names it can throw off the 'flow' of your writing. But, of course, if your character is part of a culture in which 'odd' names are traditional than this does over ride this rule.
Another very important factor to consider when naming a character would also be originality. It takes away the depth of any authors work when the names of their characters are over used or cliché.
A great way to avoid these mistakes would be by simply putting more effort into character naming. Rather than just picking popular names do research and explore your options. Try using google translate or name generators to get new ideas.
