[The Curtains are still down, red lights flash over the stage before purple beams of light direct themselves to the sign that reads 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' the curtains open to the twinkles at the start of the first song.]

<Prologue : Invisible>

Ensemble : Daylight come, and me wan' go...

[A white flashing light fills the stage and then there a final lightning strike. There is a silhouette of a hill and moon, with trees and graves, it begins to colour itself in and the ensemble slowly makes they're way on stage. There is a coffin at the centre of the stage.]

[Ensemble hums in a soft harmony to certain beats of the song as smoke fills the bottom of the stage, portraying mist.]

Ensemble Pastor : In times like these, we have no words, we have only eachover. Today we come together to mourn the passing of Emily Deetz. Devoted wife to Charles, beloved mother to Lydia. Scripture tells us, sorrow not, for we do not walk alone.

[There is a spotlight on Lydia, she is holding and umbrella and what seams to be a bouquet of red roses.]

Lydia: Your invisible when your sad
Clocks tick and phones still ring
The world carries on like mad
But nobody sees a thing.

Whispering behind their hands
Lost for kind words to say
Nobody understands
And everyone goes away.

[Ensemble move around Lydia, and position themselves to look at the coffin in a line.]

Grownups wanna fix things
When they can't it only fills them with shame
So they just look away
Is it being greedy to need somebody to see me
And say my name?

[Lydia moves to the coffin. Looking over it.]

Seems when you lose your mom
No one turns off the sun
Folks carry on, that's that
You're invisible when you're sad.

[The ensemble group together infront of the coffin, to reveal Beetlejuice. He is standing in his pinstriped suit, which is very tattered and a long grey trench coat. Which too is in a messy state. He is holding a newspaper up, covering his face. He has a spotlight on him.]

Beetlejuice: Holy Crap! A Ballad Already?

[He brings the Newspaper Down and scrunches it up]

And such a bold departure from the original source material?!

[At the very moment he says this. Green and white lights for a second go to beetlejuice, and he jumps forward. The whole being dead thing starts to play and things suddenly get a lot more upbeat and the smoke at the bottom of the floor gets lit up with a blue light.]

<The Whole Being Dead Thing>

Hey folks,

[He throws the newspaper onto the ground. Later picked up by crew member presumably]

Begging your pardon
Welcome to the winter garden!

[The ensemble arrange themselves in a semicircle from the back of the coffin from each side of the stage. Beetlejuice stand infront of the coffin at the centre of them]

Now let's skip the tears and start on the whole

[Ensemble puts up their umbrellas and begin walking in a choreography for the song. I don't want to write each and every movement.]
