It has been 2 and a half years since the Promise of Peace had been established. Much has changed within the Pridelands and Outlands. With the said Promise of Peace becoming a reality many animals found themselves pursuing new things for their lives.

Inside the cave of Pride Rock stood Zazu and Ono. The hornbill was eagerly tutoring the egret on everything he knew. Ono had made up his mind on being the next royal adviser for the future queen Kiara.

"With your impressive sight you'll be able to be able to spot danger very quick and alert the queen accordingly", Zazu said. Ono nodded attentively.

Betshe was living a comfortable life in near the watering hole. On occasion while he was relaxing in the water he would often be flirted be with, but he was not quite ready for settle down. But he was also too polite to tell them that either. On other occasions he would have no choice but to let Dogo down gently. But he would always return. Lately instead of flirting with him, Dogo has been having genuine conversations with him.

"You're always welcome here, Dogo", Beshte said politely.

"Thanks, Betshe", the jackal sighed. "Forgive me for my persistence before."

"It's alright. I'm not really interested in a relationship, but I am interested in being your friend", Beshte smiled.

"I...I would like that", Dogo smiled as well.

In the times of peace Fuli for a while found that she had no idea what she wanted to do. She would often race around the land, that is until one faithful day where she met a hyena. Fuli was captured by her snark and her kindness. Something the cheetah found most hyenas were lacking.

"Well, that sure was fast", the hyena chuckled as Fuli brought her the berries she needed.

"That's what I do", Fuli smirked.

"I don't know what I would do without you", the hyena smiled warmly.

"Don't worry about it, Jasiri. I do it because I want to. I care about you", Fuli admitted.

"I care about you, too", Jasiri blushed.

"You do?", Fuli blushed as well, feeling her heart beat faster than it does when she runs. "Okay, I'm just gonna say it. I love you, Jasiri!"

"Heh, love ya too, Fuli", Jasiri smiled again, planting a small lick on Fuli's cheek.

Meanwhile things in the Outlands were much different from how there were before. The land birthed life once more, growing all kinds of grasses, bushes and even trees. The animals who lived there never had to worry about going hungry ever again. And with no worry for food came no need to invade the Pridelands.

Even a hyena such as Janja found that times like these were much better than all the times they would try and invade the Pride Lands only to fail. His ears flickered as someone was approaching his solitary cave .

"Hey, Janja...", a voice he hadn't heard in a long time made him perk up.

"Is that you, furbrains?", Janja asked.

Cheezi and Chungu nodded awkwardly. The last time they had seen Janja was when they had yelled at him.

"Yeah, it's us", Chungu responded.

"We heard you were around here", Cheezi explained. "Why aren't you with the other hyenas here?"

"I can't show my face to them", Janja sighed. "Not after how I went out."

"Janja, it's been 2 years. The hyenas are actually worried about you", Cheezi pleaded.

"And how would you know? I thought you two lived in the Pride Lands?", Janja spat.
