3: Berk Reborn

I watched as Hiccup walked to the weapons holder and pick out a shield and dagger.

I stood beside Astrid, looking out in fear, as they slowly removed the log restraining the cage.

Then the cage busted open, flames all around and the center of attention, the Nightmare crawling out trying to escape.

It approached Hiccup and he immediately let the weapons drop to the ground.

I bit my lip hoping he doesn't get hurt, he removed his helmet and threw it. "I'm not one of them."

Gasps were heard all around, Stoick had enough and yelled to stop the fight, but Hiccup refused to stop, to make all of Berk realize Dragons aren't what they are thought to be.

It was short lived as Stoick made a clang and yelling for the fight to stop. It snapped the Dragon back to battle mode and attack Hiccup all over again.

"Hiccup!" I yelled in worry.

Astrid got an axe prepared to open the gate, I lifted it and got under letting it drop again, "Stay there."

I rushed and picked up a sheild and got in front of Hiccup as the dragon kept firing, "Hiccup stay behind me."

The dragon fired once more and it poured over the sheild onto my arm. I let go of the sheild in pain, I tried to keep my scream in.

"Kindren!" Hiccup went to my side, looking at my arm.

"I'm fine!" I stood up and grabbed his arm and we ran to the gate Stoick opened.

But the gate was fired at and we went back to escape the flame.

The Nightmare didn't back down as it pinned us, ready to fire.

Then we heard a shrill, it was a Night Fury shrill.

"Oh no..." The ring was blasted open by Toothless and the Nightmare was being fought.

Toothless was protecting us and scared off the Nightmare, but we weren't concerned about the Nightmare.

I ran up to Toothless, "Come on baby you gotta go, you can't be here!" I tried to push his snout to get him to leave, but he didn't budge.

The Vikings started to jump in the ring carrying weapons and scaring Toothless.

Hiccup helped in trying to get him out, but then his father went in.

Toothless went for him.

I was frightened for Toothless and Hiccup, as I saw him fight off the Vikings and focus on Stoick.

"Toothless stop!" I yelled.

But Toothless had him pinned down ready to fire, "NO!" Hiccup and I yelled in worry.

Toothless turned to us, with his innocent look again.

But he was hit and pinned down to stop his "rampage".

"Don't hurt him!" I held Hiccup back with my good arm, "Please he's harmless."

He turned to me in sadness and hugged me, I hugged back and looked as Stoick decided not to kill Toothless yet.

We were dragged into the Chief's quarters, and put down by Stoick.

"Stoick I know you're furious with this turn of events, but don't take this out on Toothless." I spoke up.

"You're concerned about the dragon?! Not the people you two put in danger?!"

"Dad he's not dangerous! He was protecting me and Kindren!"
