Destiny Reign Harris- "Babygirl just remember your worth no matter what people say." Mommy said as she combed through my hair putting it into braids with beads
"Mommy what does that mean?" I said as I pretended to scratch my head to see how much hair she had left.
"It means that if you believe that you are princess don't let another people take your crown ." She said popping my hand with the comb as My father walked in with red eyes and a balled up fist.
"Honey your food is in the microwave I made-" She began as my daddy's hand slapped her hard making her cheek instantly swell
"Daddy I -I-think you hurt mommy." I stuttered as he went into the kitchen ignoring me
"Come on baby I'll finish your hair in your room." She said like nothing ever happened but I can see the tears
She picked up my little 5 year old body placing me on her hip quickly walking to my room locking the door behind her.
"Mommy how come daddy doesn't treat you like a princess?" I asked before she restarted on my hair.
She started to cry and I just hugged her like any little girl would do her mommy little did I know my mommy forgot her crown through out the years. ________________________________
"Damn that food was good Destiny." Don said wiping his mouth with his sleeve.
"Yeah you put yo foot I them grits." Tae laughed.
"DESSY YOU PUT YOUR FOOT IN THE FOOD!?" Xuri asked in disbelief.
"No Nae that just means that she cooking it real good." Sin explained while trying not to laugh.
"Oh well I guess you put your head shoulders knees and toes in there too because it is Mm good." She said as she continued to eat her breakfast.
"Damn I forgot you not grown and you gotta go to school." Tae said getting up from the table.
"Nigga we are the exact same age but you just don't go to school." I said rolling my eyes
"I told you I do online school." He said laughing.
"When every 30th if February?" I said sarcastically.
"How did you know." He said fake surprised which made me just walk away
I walked away hearing laughing which made me laugh. I walked to the bathroom grabbing a spare toothbrush and brushing my teeth. I hopped in the shower washing away the touch of Terry and all the pain he caused me.
When I got out I had a towel wrapped around and I walked into Tae's room and he was laying on the bed on his phone.
"You know that you probably gonna be late."He said looking up scanning my body which made me blush but ya girl brown skin so he can see that shit.
"Nigga if you went to school you would know most seniors have half days." I said looking through my clothes to see what to wear
"That's nice because Nae said that you said you would take her to the mall." He said which refreshed my memory.
"Oh shit I forgot about that." I said grabbing my clothes and walking towards his walk In closet to change.
He chuckled and looked back at his phone. I closed the door and put on something to cover My scars I chose a sweater because it was fall and it was still cold. And some black jeans and some Uggs my Nana sent me on Christmas.
