Stuck in the middle

Chapter 1

"Lydia wake up!!" My step brother yells. I sit up in bed. "I said-" my step brother starts but stops once he sees I'm awake "shut up Kyle" I say "whatever" he says. He walks outta my room. I role my eyes. I stand up walk over to my door and shut it. I go to my closet. I pull out my checkered dress. I slip on my white heals. I put a headband in my hair. I grab my little purse. I walk out of my room and shut the door. I walk down the hallway. "Look who finally decided to wake up" Kyle says "shut it Kyle" I say. I walk to the door. Open it and walk out. "Right on time greaser" randy says "shut it" I say "hey don't have attitude with us now" bob says "shut up" I say. I look at them with my arms crossed. "C'mon get in the car" randy says "I ain't going with you" I say "now" bob says. I roll my eyes and get in the car. "Now you hear little missy..you ain't gonna have attitude with us at all today..by the way were going to see a movie later" bob says "whatever" I say "cut it now..cut the crap Lydia!" I hear him say. "You know this is worse then staying in that house!!" I yell. I feel my eyes water. I get out of the car and start running. "Get back here!!" I here randy yell. I hear the car start. I feel tears run down my face. I wipe them away. I see these group of guys. Greasers most likely. "Lydia get in the car!!" I hear bob yell "leave me alone bob!" I yell back. I run past the group. I reach the gas station. I stop to catch some air. The tears run down my face. I see the same group of guys running this way. Then I see bob and Randy's car. "Shit" I say. I walk inside. I wipe my eyes. I bump into someone. "Oh shit I'm so sorry" I say. I look at who I bumped into. He's dreamy. "No it's okay" the boy says "but are you okay" he asks "umm yeah im fine" I say. " hey Sodapop" I hear someone say. I turn around the same time the boy named Sodapop does. "Hey your the girl that running away from the socs..bob and randy right" this boy asks "um yeah" I say. Then I hear the door open. "Oh no" I say. "Lydia..whats wrong with you..why you run off like that...why you hanging around trash like these guys" randy says "shut up randy..just shut up" I say. "Better watch out bud..I don't know who you think you are calling us greasers trash" this blonde kid says. "C'mon" bob says "hold on I wanna buy something first" I say. I grab a water. I check it out. "We don't have all day hurry the hell up" bob says "don't talk to me like that" I say "gosh I'm so sick of you bob!" I yell. The tears starting up again. I walk out side. "Look I'm sorry!" I hear bob say. He touches my hand. "Don't touch me bob" I say. He grabs my face a little hard. I whimper. He then kisses me. I push him off. I open my water take a drink then throw it at him. "Maybe that'll teach you when I say don't touch me not to touch me" I say. He then slaps me. I look at him holding my cheek. "God I'm sorry" I hear bob say. I run off. I hide behind a bush. I see bob and randy get into the car and take off. I get out from behind the bush. I fix my dress. I walk to the door. I walk in only to get knocked into. Before I fall someone catches me. "I'm sorry" ponyboy says "no it's fine" I say. I clean my eyes. "He hit you pretty hard huh?" Ponyboy says "your face is red" he says again. I look at the floor. "Yeah..he did hit me pretty hard" I say. I feel him touch my face. He creases my cheek. "Hope fully it won't be so red now" I hear him say. He then walks out followed by the rest of the guys. I smile at him. I feel a tear run down my face. Didn't realize I was still crying. "Your back" I hear a voice say "yeah..I just didn't wanna go with them" I say. Then I look down at the floor. " I'll keep you company if you'd like" I hear him say. I look up only to meet his eyes. "I'd like that" I say. He grabs my hand and takes us to the back. I sit down. "I seen what bob did to you. Is he your boyfriend?" He asks "no he isn't my boyfriend...I would never date him" I say "why do you let him do that" he asks "I don't" I say. I look at him. "So you know ponyboy" I hear him say "I go to school with him..I don't think he knows I exist though" I say "the way he grabbed your face..are you joking" I hear him say "that's my brother..I'm Sodapop by the way" I hear him say "nice to meet you..is that we're your brother gets his charm from" I say smiling at him. He smiles, his dimple showing. " pony is himself..seems to make every girl fall at his feet" Sodapop says. I look at him. "What your name" he asks "Lydia" I say "you have a very pretty name..your very pretty yourself" soda says. "I wish" I say. I look at him..he's staring at me. "How old are you" he asks "16" I say "oh..pony is 16 to and I'm 17" he says. I smile. The door opens. "Oh hey soda we are off in about an hour..is this your girlfriend" this Guy says "no..Steve this is lydia..lydia this is Steve" soda says "it's nice to meet you" he says "you to" I say. I shake his hand. He walks out. "What are you doing later" soda asks "I'm supposed to go to a movie with randy and bob and the others but I don't really wanna go" I say "I don't wanna be around them" I say "we are supposed to go see a movie to..you could come home with me if you'd like" he says "I don't wanna take up your time" I say "you won't.. I like having you around trust me" soda says . I smile at him. "Fine" I say "yes" I hear him say. I start laughing. "Soda.. c'mon let's go" Steve says. I look at him. "Are you sure" I say "I'm positive..now let's go!" He says laughing. I smile at him. "Are you guys sure you ain't dating" Steve's says "I'm positive" I say "your a cute burnet" Steve says "thank you" I say. "We're gonna walk" soda says. "Alright I'll see you at the movies..it was nice meeting you" Steve says "you to" I say. Soda and I start walking. "Hey soda..the socs..they are probably looking for me..I don't want you getting hurt" I say "Hey Lydia it's fine. We are safe" he says pulling out a pocket knife. I smile at him. "We are almost there" soda says. I shake my head. He's looking at me..He almost falls. "Haha you should be looking at me" I say laughing. "Your pretty I can't help it" soda says "shut up" I say laughing with him. "We are here" soda says. We walk into the house. "Hey pony I brought your girlfriend back" soda says. I punch him on the arm. I feel someone grab me by my waist. "Told you your face isn't red anymore" I hear pony say. I smile at him. "Hi I'm Darry..your the girl that was running away from the soc huh?" Darry asks "yeah" I say. "Your pretty" Darry says "thank you" I say.
