Perched on the Twins' bedroom window was a brown barn owl named Hoo, the Magpies' family owl (whom Errol tried to court on numerous occasions, only to be clawed in return). She had a neatly folded note stuck on her beak. George took it and stroked Hoo's head as a 'thank you'.

When the note was passed to Fred, he read,

"To the two blokes reading this,

I know you're already home from Egypt. I counted the days all summer.

Meet me at the Leaky Cauldron tomorrow, 1pm. Hopefully, your family will be shopping at Diagon Alley. If not, (and you find it a bit of a bother to meet me) let's just see each other at the train.

Missed your summer letters,
Rumi Magpie"

"Thanks, Hoo." Then off Hoo went with the reply George wrote for them.

As George opened his trunk to fix his stuff, he remarked, "I can't believe she forgot to write 'handsome' before the blokes."

"Well, she can't," Fred said. "Because only one of us is."

"Who is obviously me."

Fred let that slip.
