It was currently 6 am and my alarm went off to start getting ready for school. I was honestly tired as hell. Between having that party on Thursday and getting back kind of getting back late I actually had Jess and Genae spend the night over in which turned them spending the weekend over at my house. I sat up and looked outside my window mentally preparing for not only today but the whole week of school. After a few minuets of staring I finally got up to get ready for school

GeNae Pov
"Girl we gotta playmatch maker it's the only way." I said to Jessica who was currently getting things out of her locker .
"Well you already know how she is" she responded.
"Jess were going to have to get Melo to make that first push..."
"Yea but you already know she's mean " she joked.
I laughed and looked at my phone. " Girl don't I know...she should've had his number when we were all at the pizzeria" I said.
"She barely gave him talk time so I knew that wasn't going to happen." Jess said.
I nodded my head agreeing with her. "So what are we going to do?" She asked.
I looked throughout the hallway thinking about a plan. Shortly after I seen Melo who was in his phone walking through the hallway causing me to immediately come up with a plan.
"I got a plan. " I said confidently. But now it was important to talk to Melo to get this plan in order.
"What is it?" Jess questioned.
"That my friend will have to wait. Right now I have to catch up with Melo." I said then walking away.
"Ayy Melo!" I semi yelled. I earned a few stares in the hallway and I immediately got his attention he stopped walking and waited for me to catch up.
" Wassup?" He asked.
I decided to get right to the point because class was going to start soon.
"So you feeling my girl Hazel?" I asked.
"Yea but I could tell she not feeling me..." He a lil thrown off from this conversation.
"Well you've been going on about it the wrong way...she might not seem interested just because she's a private person and your not but I feel like you can bring her out of her shell. You just have to stick with it." I said.
He nodded his head. "Ight I hear you but what should I do?"
"Walk with me to my class while we talk about that." I said. He nodded and we both walked to my first period.

Hazell Pov
I was currently in my sitting out in the parking lot and first period was going to start. I decided that today was a kind of sweater and sweatpants day. It was very gloomy outside and it looked like it was going to rain so there was no point in trying. I was scrolling through twitter and my timeline was full of foolery like usual. For a good 30 minuets twitter had my attention and I finally decided it was time to get out and head to class. I locked my phone, grabbed my bookbag and got out the car to head to class. I cursed to myself once I got to class because I forgot my umbrella hopefully it wasn't going to be raining to hard once school was over.

The first bell indicating that class was going to start shortly people were still coming in to get settled and I sat in my unassigned permanent seat. I pulled out my notebook to prepare for class and as I did that someone who I didn't expect to sit by me did. Melo. I looked over to him and gave him a small smile. " Hey how's it going?" I said. He returned with a smile back "it's all good and you?"Before I could respond back to him the second bell rang indicating that it was now to start school. After the bell rung the music for the pledge of allegiance began. Everyone including me got up and put our right hand over our heart and everyone began reciting the pledge.

First period was literally dragging. I kept looking at my watch and I guess that wasn't helping. Melo keeps trying to make little talk. For what...I don't know why. I thought last week when we were at the pizzeria that he'd get the hint. It was about 45 mins into the class and I had another 15 to go. I lost all focus on what was currently being instructed and there was no coming back. I was now currently doodling in my notebook on what was suppose to be my notes.
"Damn" Melo said who now caught my attention. I looked over to him trying to get his pen to work. I continued to watch him struggle for another good minute and just decided to give him one of my pens. I reached to the bottom of my book bag grabbed one of my many pens and handed it to him. "Thank you." He said smiling. I just nodded giving him another small smile and went back to doodling.
"Hey Hazel" Melo said getting my attention once again. Do you think I could get your number?
"Oh ion-" I was cut off on me trying to deny whatever he was trying to pull.
"I promise it will only be school related. It's because if we have an away game we occasionally have to leave right when school starts and I can't be behind work seeing as it's senior year and I could be benched if I let my grades slip." He said explaining himself.
I'm not going to lie I was slightly embarrassed and relieved seeing as it wasn't because he wasn't trying to get with me. " Yea I understand. Sure." I said. I wrote my number on a free space in my notebook and tore that piece off and handing it to him.
"Cool." He said collecting the paper from me. Finally the bell rung and I gathered my thing like the whole class did and began to get ready for my next class. "Hazell I'll see you around." Melo said while we both happening to be walking out at the same time. We both went opposite ways to our class.
As I was walking to class I felt a vibrate in my pocket and on my watch trekking me that I had a text from an unsaved number

I double tapped the message and selected the thumbs up to like the message. That was honestly my way of replying.
Once I reached my next class GeNae texted me personally.
GNae💚: bihhhhh I'm sorry we are going to have reschedule our gym day tonight. I got to watch my lil sis tonight. Lmk when you wanna raincheck.
I slightly sucked my teeth but didn't get mad. She was the oldest of 4 and was always stuck helping her folks out with her younger siblings.

I replied slightly teasing her.
I still had to go to the gym but tonight I was just going have to go by myself. I decided in the summer since it was going to be my senior year that getting any kind of extra practice was vital. I received scholarships but that only motivated me more to not let up. I needed to work on my core more so I did a lot of ab and glute workouts at the gym.
once I was in class I sat down and class began. I could since this was going to be a long ass day.

SO it's a filler because my mother fucking laptop is broken and until these tax returns hit a sis don't got a laptop to give you these updates. Also I had writers block seeing as I'm trying my best to not make this book so cliche. I promise next chapter will be bigger and better thank you thank you thank you for commenting and voting.
