The wave is in love with the shoreline.
He refused to stay away when their lips crash against each other,
And only when the crest of his pride no longer could bear the guilt,
He washes away her flaws and insecurities,
But yet again, fails to bring her presence with him again. The wind was fickle, carrying her sweet scent to him,
Teasing his senses and exciting his pulse,
And he would return to her by the end of the day.
They held each other, sometimes hours upon hours,
Other times they simply felt each other's fingertips,
Because eventually,
It was the wind that persuaded him to leave once more. There would be times when he couldn't take it anymore,
And he would hold her down as he came across her,
Ravaging her body until loud cries echoed into the night,
But he once more, could not bear the guilt,
And left her to recollect herself. The wave is in love with the shoreline,
But he had to stay away.
