Athy walked up to him. What is that guy thinking? Killing people just because he felt like it! But as she looked at the scene before her it reminded her of something. Wasn't there a similar situation in the book she read in her last life? But it wasn't Jenette who was kneeling on the floor begging for the emperor's love but the original Athanasia.

But there wasn't an emperor?

She started getting dizzy. This wasn't adding up. So they were telling the truth when they were talking about a curse?

"Don't kill her! Because-... u-um? ... s-she... ummm... might know something?"

"If that's the case then she should have said something a long time ago. You should step away, Felix take her away"

This was bad. She had to think. Fast.

"No, wai-... I- I hate people that kill! I hate you!"

Great. Now she has done it. Great job Athanasia! She just couldn't find a better way to beg for her death.

Claude dropped the sword. Was he angry? Wait... he was shocked?! And he even looked sad? Well this was awkward. Jenette probably fainted but this wasn't important right now!

Felix (that was probably his name) was the first to say something.

"We should leave the emperor and the princess alone and let them talk it out"

With that being said he lifted Jenette up and left the room with the guards. Why. Why did they leave Athy alone in this situation.

"Do you really hate me?"

"What? Uhh, I-"

"If you wish for me to stop killing people the just say so. Then I won't ever do it again"

Damn it he looked sad now. It was kinda cute? Now she felt like the bad guy (A/N: DUH)

"I don't hate you. I just didn't want you to kill her."
