Athanasia woke up. Again. Claude and Lucas were sitting there, discussing something. Should she pretend to be asleep? It was impossible to handle two handsome guys at one time. Closing her eyes again seemed like the best course if action.

"Athanasia!"

Were they talking to her? Seemed so. The blonde guy noticed her too.

"Ah- oh, god"

He was hugging her. It actually felt pretty nice but she was still freaking out. The black-haired boy looked shocked.

A maid with blue eyes entered the room and immediately the bowl she was carrying. This was kind of embarrassing, but she didn't know how to push that guy away. It was as if he was holding onto her for his dear life? They didn't even know each other.

"Umm... I'm sorry, but what's going on?"

The black-haired boy quickly answered her question.

"Memory loss. You were cursed, to be more precise. This dude here is the Emperor, Claude de Alger Obelia. I'm Lucas, only like the most powerful wizard on earth but I'll save that for another time.
You're Athanasia de Alger Obelia, the princess of this kingdom"

Claude? Obelia? Weren't these the names of that cheesy book she read a few days ago? Did god decided to grant her one last dream?

She didn't notice but the maid was now also holding her hand. This was awkward.

"Your majesty. I request of you to leave please. I need to check on the princess. Meanwhile it would be a good idea to try to find the culprit. It's only a matter of time until-"

He gulped. Until what?

"I-... I understand. I have some work to do. You should rest."

He looked at her with worried eyes. But when he looked at Lucas he turned completely serious.

"Why are you unable to heal her?"

Maybe it was just her imagination, but she could swear that he heard a small annoyed 'tsk' out if his mouth. But when he answered Claude he looked like completely innocent.

"Forgive me, your Majesty. It's the kind of curse where you need to find the caster. I advise you to catch him as fast as possible."

"... very well. Lillian York. Come with me. We have something to discuss"

They both left.

"Tch. As if I'm not doing already everything I can. But I still have a promise to keep. Princesse- you don't remember me, do you?"

He looked really sad. It reminded her of a puppy.

"... I'm sorry. But what promise?"

"You asked of me to keep me away if you forget me. It was strange. But you were serious so I went along with it. Without even telling me why to do that. You promised me an explanation afterwards though."
