CHAPTER FOUR — TROUBLE ALWAYS FINDS ME.
"my god, do you even have a brain in that head of yours?"
❖
Aurora woke up the next day feeling much better than she has in a while, a small smile on her face as she decided to pick out an outfit for the day. sliding out of her bed she decided to wear a pink skirt, a white tank top, a cardigan, and a pair of ankle boots. Once Aurora got dressed she looked at her appearance in the mirror and let out a huff as she examined her body.
Aurora wasn't petite in body size, she wasn't chubby but she wasn't too skinny either to the point you'd think she'd break. Aurora definitely had some slight curves, nothing too jurassic but curvaceous enough to catch the opposite genders eye.
Sometimes Aurora felt self conscious, she knew her body wasn't all that bad but on other days she kinda hated the way she looked. Good thing on a day like today she felt slightly confident in her self. Aurora sat at her vanity and quickly did some light makeup, pulling her hair up in a half up and half down hair style letting two strands of hair fall loose and frame her face.
After she finished everything else she needed to do she grabbed her school bag and opened her bedroom door, walking out of her room she shut the door behind her and began to make her way down the staircase, not before glancing at Hannah's room. Hannah Baker is missed by many, especially her own sister Aurora.
Aurora looked away from her sister's vacant room and finished going down the stairs completely, Spotting her mom in the kitchen she offered her a smile as she walked towards the fridge. "Good Morning, Mom." Aurora says reaching into the fridge to pick up a honey crisp apple that was in a drawer in the fridge.
"You seem... okay this morning." Mrs.Baker says as she makes some toast with butter and jam, "I feel better today." Aurora says speaking truthfully as she goes to the sink to rinse off her apple before taking a bite out of the delicious fruit. "i'm glad to hear that, if you need to talk about anything i'll be here for you. now you better get to school before your late." Mrs.Baker said and Aurora nodded her head as she held her apple tightly in her hand.
"Right, okay. I'll see you later mom!" Aurora says and quickly makes her way out of the house, she was gonna have to run to the nearest bus stop if she wanted to make it to school on time. Aurora speed walked down the side walk, almost already feeling out of breath from the little bit that she has walked.
A honk of a horn made the girl nearly jump 10 feet in the air, metaphorically that is. Turning her head to look in the direction of the culprit that honked their car horn at her made a small frown form on her face. Bryce freaking Walker. He always seemed to find Aurora some way some how, even before Hannah passed away.
