Chapter I

Yuu: Sensei! Shi-chan! Haru-chan!

Yuu stood next to the wide ocean where the ship can be seen on the horizon.

Her hopeless cries stops as the ship grew smaller and smaller until it disappeared from her sight.

Yuu: "Don't leave me..." (Sobs)

She fell down on her knees as she tries to hold back her tears.

I-I need to stay strong... I'm a big girl now. I should be able to stand on my own.

Even without... big sis around.

Yuu runs back to the port.

They will come for me. Once they know I'm lost... I'm sure of it.

With a little piece of hope left in her heart, she tries her best to ask the people around the port...with little to no success.

Woman: "Oh ! You missed the boat. Aww how about you stay here for a while ?"

Girl: "Oh look at that cute little girl, isn't she cute ?"

The disappointed Yuu decided to go back to the souvenir shop where she lost track of time earlier.

Yuu: (sigh) "..."

Cashier girl: "What's wrong little one ?"

The girl approached Yuu, her sad expression is visible on her face.

Yuu: "I missed the boat! my classmates... all of them! I'm the only one left!"

Cashier girl: (pats Yuu's head) "It'll be alright."

Yuu: "I tried to ask people if there will be a next ship that will take me to Kagoshima but they didn't answer."

Cashier girl: "You could've asked me. Sadly... you'll have to wait for days. There's a storm approaching this area, for the time being it'll be safe to stay."

Yuu: (sigh)

Yuu waved good bye to the girl as she went outside the store.

Not long after, her stomach grumbles.

Yuu: "If only big sis is around..."

As she look for a place to eat, the sky above her slowly turned gray and a sound of thunder was heard.

Yuu: "I-It's about to rain ? Oh no."

Yuu went inside a nearby cafeteria just in time when the rain started pouring down.

She looks outside the window wondering when will it stop.

I only have small amount of money now... What should I do ?

Surprisingly it didn't last long and the sky became seemingly clear.

Yuu walks around the town looking for a place to stay, unfortunately only a handful of expensive tourist motels are available in this area.

She sat on a bench exhausted.

Yuu: (sobs) "I wanna go home..." (wiping her tears)

Stranger: "Hey...you alright?"

Yuu: (flabbergasted) "I-I... am"

Yuu was surprised to see the stranger standing next to her.

Stranger: "Why are you crying? Do you need something?"

Yuu: "I'm lost...m-my classmates they left...the field trip... I forgot to catch up" (sobs)

Stranger: "Poor thing" (pats her head) "You shouldn't be here all alone. It's gonna rain soon...you might get sick."

Yuu: "B-But I...have no place to stay."

Stranger: "No problem, you're welcome to stay in my house."

Yuu: "Is that okay? I might be a bother..."

Stranger: "No, of course not!"

She offers her hand to Yuu which she gladly accepts.

Stranger: "Nice to meet you. I'm Rin Izumi, you can call me Rin."

Yuu: "H-Hi, my name's Yui...Yui Fumizuki. Big sis and my friends call me Yuu-chan."

Rin: "Well then... I'll be your friend and big sis for now." (Smiles)
