Xavier POV

I was almost finished with my work until my phone rang. These phone calls and paperwork were giving me a headache but I knew I had to do what needed to be done.

"Hello?" I answered with an annoyed voice. There better not be any problems and if I heard someone say that there was I will kill them. Maybe even literally.

"Ahh Xavier! It's so nice to finally hear from you again." Not this idiot. Sam and I had an alliance in the past as we were co partners. Not anymore.

He would try to get my attention or call me very frequently which was annoying to say the least. I have much better business to deal with then wasting my time on his stupid deals that he would try to arrange. At this point I'm thinking about deleting his fucking number off my phone.

"What do you want, Sam?" I asked. This is such a waste of time.

"Well, I was wondering if we could meet today." He proceeded telling me how he had a big deal to offer me in return for his company to have an alliance again, with my company.

I wouldn't want to have an alliance with his company but I know he will torment me and my father over it so it's best to just clear the air and tell him first hand.

"Sure, meet me in my office." I hung up and continued my work. As soon as I finished, the elevator bell rang. Sam came in and sat down in front of my wooden desk. He better make this quick, I don't have the time or patience for his bullshit.

"Make it quick," I muttered while signing off the last contract order and putting it aside.

"Xavier, as you know, we had an amazing alliance in the past and I would like for that to happen again. My deal is that I will give you my daughters hand in marriage in return."

I didn't think much of what he said until the last part. What the actual fuck.

How could this man just sell his own daughter to me over an alliance?! He's crazy. I knew he was desperate for our companies to hold shares together, but selling his own daughter to me was over doing it.

"And why would I do that?" I asked with my pen tapping on the mahogany desk in irritation. This is such a waste of time.

"Well you see, I talked with your father and he said it would be a great idea to have an alliance with Queen Incorporations and Sam Incorporations. It would also benefit our customer improvements."

I sighed. "Let me talk with my father." He nodded. I dialed my fathers phone number, he said the same thing Sam was talking about. "We will make a greater profit," he said.

It was suspicious since my father didn't mention the marriage part but out of my own curiosity, why not. I'm sure it won't hurt to test the waters. And besides, I need to start getting into these types of relationships again because of my company. I finally need to find my woman.

It's been way too long. Time is just going to go by and this is my perfect chance to get a step closer into getting married. I've had enough of sleeping around with woman, for one.

"We have a deal," I stated and Sam's face lit up within seconds. "But, what about your daughter?"

He gave me a mischievous grin and said, "It won't be a problem. As a matter of fact, let's go see her. I'm sure you would like that."

This man was truly crazy. I nodded as we stood up and exited my building to go see his daughter. I wonder what she must think of this.

_

We arrived at his home. It was like every other family house. I wasn't impressed. He banged on the front door and smiled at me. I thought to myself, what the fuck am I doing? This man is a sociopath.

The door opened with a gorgeous girl standing inside. She looked at her father with a scared expression then looked at me. Confusion was evident on her face. I couldn't help but find her facial expressions a bit cute.

"There she is, my precious daughter." Sam stated as she let us in. She looked at us like we were crazy. He introduced us to each other then went to have a chat with her. For some reason she almost called him master. As confusing as it sounds, I will have a talk with her about it later on.

Did Sam have some type of fucking fetish with his own daughter calling him master? I hope not. If so, I won't stand it. She definitely deserves better than that.

When I saw her, for some odd reason, I couldn't keep my eyes off her. Her face was all too familiar for me. Although she looks older now.

She must be as confused as I was earlier today. I took in the surroundings of their house. It was like every other house; clean, nice, giving off the home feeling.

Sam soon came out of her room and said she will be back. I wonder what he said to her. Probably explaining the bullshit he had said to me earlier.

We proceeded to sit down and talk about the arrangements. The wedding will take place in three weeks time. Sam looked like he had just won the golden ticket to happiness and wealth. Little does he know, I might not even pull through with this arrangement. Like I said, I will only be testing the waters.

If this does go somewhere, which I doubt it will, then I might even actually marry this girl. But I doubt that will happen. From her side of the story she must be creeped out that her father will be marrying her off to me. I wouldn't blame her. I felt bad for her being the daughter of Sam.

Iris, I believe her name was, stepped out of her room looking presentable. Did she do all that just to look nice? I won't lie, her dress looked stunning on her and it contrasted well with her jewelry. She had some nice style, to say the least.

Her father left us to chat and gave her a glare that I didn't miss. I am so confused. An awkward silence fell upon us as she looked at me for some type of answers.

She sat down asking, "Why are you doing this?" With hurt written all over her eyes. Why is she making me the bad guy?

With the confusion masked all over her face, it was pretty clear to tell that Sam didn't tell her anything about the alliance or deal. Great, now I have to deal with that as well.

"Listen sweetheart, you should ask your father why. He's the one who sold you to me." I replied smirking. Her jaw dropped as she took in what she had just heard. I can't believe this man didn't tell her anything. She deserved to know this much, at the least.

She stood up to leave but I immediately held her back. What's this about?

A tear stain was on her soft looking cheeks as I refrained myself from wiping it away. Why is she so upset?

I mean I wouldn't be too happy either knowing my father had suddenly told me that I was going to get married to a stranger, but I didn't expect her to be this upset. In fact, most girls would practically kill for the position Iris is in right now. Especially if it meant to be marrying me.

"Where are you going?" I asked. She looked at me with teary eyes. "My room," she replied with her voice cracking slightly.

I wasn't just going to let her leave like that! "No, you're coming with me," I stated as a matter of fact and took her out of the house.

She was still confused as I told her father she will stay the night with me. He smiled and nodded at me but glared at her. There is clearly an issue here. And I will find out what it was, one way or another.

As soon as we were outside she didn't say anything. I took her to my black Ferrari as she stood there gaping at it. This was the first time someone was so excited to see my Ferrari. It's odd but I couldn't help but smile at her cute expression.

I chuckled and let her sit in it. We drove off in utter silence. This will either be really good or really bad. I guess time will tell.
