max was actually rly confident as a kid, it's just the elder's constant manipulation of & pressure on him to be perfect and compliant that crushed him :(( but he used to ask lots of questions and was just a tiiiinnyy bit of a smartass hehe
may b i will write tiny baby max one day to display this wonderful side of him!! i also wish i got more time to write brian and anni bc though none of them are related i love love LOVE their weird clique-y sibling dynamic :)
here they are aged: anni being about 16, brian is 15, and max is 12.
