“I TOLD YOU! I haven’t seen her in years and she came back, like, two weeks ago, and wanted to pay me a quick visit. That’s all!”
The redhead wildly moved her arms, trying to make a point, but Amaris listened with only half an interest. The excuses that were thrown at her head almost made her yawn. They were getting weaker every month. Her girlfriend could have at least put some effort.
She let out a quiet, humourless laugh at that thought. Her girlfriend whirled around to face her. Amaris didn’t flinch. Instead, she said, in a determined yet slight provocative voice: “Do you love me?”
The redhead groaned.
