Here's something N. Italy is surprised about: The fact that he's still alive.
I mean, his capital, Rome, is in S. Italy. His capital isn't even his heart, like every other country, his heart is Venice.
He knows he might fade at some point, he's just surprised it hasn't happened yet.
He hopes it never happens, he was to stay with his friends after all.
But, he knows eventually that Italy will be one, and that he won't be here anymore.
