'She's been really out of it ever since her lover died.' Tanjiro thought, looking at Y/n.

You, L/n Y/n, had lost your family to demons and as a demon slayer you lost your lover as well who was killed by demons.

After that, you've become an emotionless person and would rarely ever be seen smiling. You did show how you felt by words and tried your best to smile despite it hurting bad.

No one except your lover would make you smile as bright as the sun.

Then, it was as if your sun had died and only the new moon that engulfed the world in darkness lasted.

What's worst about it, you can't appreciate the beauty of this pain because your moonlight is gone as well. Everything is in darkness.

You thought of retiring from being a demon slayer ever since they died, and decided maybe that would be the best thing to do right now.

But oh, no.

Tanjiro stopped you from doing that.

You remember it very clearly. The day that there was a hashira meeting and you disrupted it by shouting.

"Master! May I please retire from demon slaying! Please!" You hear shuffling and see Tanjiro being elbowed to the ground by Obanai.

'Ah, it's the guy from the final selection! Kamado Tanjiro, but why is he being elbowed?'

You hear him groan in pain as he gets elbowed deeper by Obanai.

"Y/n, you just got in the Final Selection! Are you really gonna give up now!?" He shouts.

"Now now, Y/n, listen to Tanjiro. You can't give up just now." Oyakata says.

"But- but... They died..." You say, tears filling up the corners of your eyes.

"Are you fucking stupid Y/N!?" Sanemi shouts. "Then don't be a demon slayer if that's what you want!"

You were hurt by Sanemi's words but he was right. Did you really want to quit?

"L/n-san! Don't ever quit! I'll be here for you- Ack!" Obanai deepens elbowing again. "Shut up." He says, looking st the burgundy-haired boy with a grudge unexplainable.

You begin to cry. "Oyakata-sama, I'll risk my life for Nezuko as well."

After that, Tanjiro had taken a liking to you and would occassionally compliment you which became a must in your conversations with him.

You were asked by Tanjiro to watch over him if he'd stop his Total Concentration Breathing: Constant. And even while he was asleep, he had to do it consistently.

You watched over him sleeping peacefully, until you realized he had stop doing Total Concentration Breathing: Constant.

You slap him on the face in order to wake him up, knowing his face is rock hard anyways.
