JONAH SWAN HAD NEVER BEEN LOUD. Even as a baby, his cries were silent and soft. There was a sweet timidness that escaped his mouth everytime he spoke, preferring to curl himself away from his peers with a pair of earphones and a book.
Jonah didn't mind the way he managed to slip to the back of every group photo or how his opinion was never missed in a group conversation. He also didn't mind that he let Mike copy his work in every class they shared together nor did he mind letting most Forks High attendees walk all over him.
He had assumed, until that fateful day, that was how the rest of his schooling would proceed.
But then a certain golden haired vampire showed up, metaphorically flipping the table that was Jonah's life.
