"Lynn! Miles said he's visiting!"

Blake chuckled as he heard Lynn drop a cup on the ground in surprise. He couldn't blame her, he reacted in the same way when he got a call from him.

His phone was buzzing so he placed the TV remote on the couch next to him and looked at the caller ID.

Miles.

Blake let out a breath he didn't know he was holding as he pressed the button to accept.

"H-Hello?"

"Miles!? Is that you?"

"A-Ah n-no... sorry."

Blake raised an eyebrow. "Who is this then?" He questioned quickly.

"Willow. Willow Park."

A chuckle escaped Blake's lips as he sat back, body relaxing as he continued speaking to this Willow. "Okay then, nice to meet you Willow."

"Likewise Mr. Blake. B-But dad wanted me to tell you that he's visiting soon."

"W-Wait... 'dad'? Waylon is your dad?"

Blake heard a soft hum on the other end.

"No actually, my mom. Miles is my dad."

...

"Dad is busy at the moment, and he gave me to phone to tell you we'll be there soon."

"Alright, I'll tell my wife that we'll be expecting you."

"Got it. See you soon Mr. Blake."

The call ended, leaving Blake smiling throughout the silence. He fixed his the placement of his glasses, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

That Willow girl seemed nice, though Miles never told me about a kid.

Waylon gripped the duffle bag that was in his lap. He constantly counted how many times the radio changed frequencies by itself - one, two, three, four - he counted seven times.

"Sure, the Langermann's are nice." Miles answered, his gaze flicking to the crackling radio.

He raised an eyebrow at this, wondering if Miles' paranoia was messing with him that much. He shook his head. It was probably that ghost he couldn't exactly see, Miles did tell him about that.

"...? Dad, there's a ghost in a radio!"

"Nice to meet you Willow. You can call me the Walrider, or something else if you figure out a nickname for me."

Miles laughed at this, shaking his head as he kept his eyes on the road ahead. "I'm sure she will, she's great at creating nicknames."

Waylon smiled, his eyes trailing to the sun in the soft yellow sky. He felt at ease, his cares soon melting away. If only the rest of the world could melt away too.
