Chapter 4.

After watching their daughter being hit by the anonymous driver, and standing still whilst she flew 5 meters in the air before her body crashed down on the car's front, everything immediately stopped. The driver, and his escort rushed out of the car, followed to their steps were Raquel's mother, father and scared brother. Just as the mother was about to touch her, the driver yelled "don't" making the woman stop dead in her tracks, unable to understand what was going on around her, "she might have a concussion and broken bones." The driver said with fear digging its claws into his skin, as he ran a hand through his hair.

"I called the ambulance," the father said out of breath and stood right next to his wife, who was kneeling down just looking at her daughter's wounded face as she prayed to God to keep her alive. Everyone that was inside of Laura's place, seemed to rush violently to the accident, while the father could not help but blame the driver for his foolish mistake and reckless driving.

"Sir, it's not like that. I lost control on the brakes!" The driver defended himself, "I'm willing to take full responsibility but I'm trying to contact my insurance company at the moment." He huffed, feeling as if he was about to drop dead on the road.

"I don't care!" The father, Brian, started yelling as if it was not bad enough that his daughter had an accident, he was willing to knock the kid out of his conscious.

"Brian, it's called an accident for a reason!" Savanna, the mother had enough of her husband's foolish and dull behaviors, and not to forget that he was deliberately starting a scene where his daughter seems to be its center of attention.

"Let me in," a girl fought to make her way into the crowd, pushing the nosey teenagers aside and rushed to stand next to Savanna, in hopes of supporting her.

When the loud sirens filled the busy neighborhood, everyone was split in two in order for the paramedic's to help the passed out girl.

Everything was agonizingly moving slowly for the mother and for her son, Trevor who watched Raquel being carefully lifted and placed on the stretcher before they placed her inside of the ambulance vehicle. "Please, please, please." Savanna prayed from the bottom of her heart.

Following the ambulance were two out of three of the Krouse family, while the guy and his father were left with Brian to talk to the police since they had witnessed and caused the massive accident. While on the other side, the mother was exceeding the speed limit, and for her luck all the lights were green and as a bright Christmas tree.

"What do we have here?" The doctors, that were ready to welcome in the poor girl asked as they rushed to place her on one of the hospital's stretching beds. "She was hit by a car!" The paramedic informed one of the interns who were taking notes behind the sergeants and residential doctors. "Please, save my baby!" Savanna exclaimed as she followed the doctors who placed Raquel in one of the E.R rooms, and saw the doctors reaching out for some scissors before they started cutting out the jeans material from around her skin.

The doctors could not focus with the family watching how they were undressing the girl, therefore with a swift move from the nurse the curtain was closed right in front of Savanna and Trevor, to leave them do nothing but pray for Raquel. "Mom, she will be alright." Trevor assured his sobbing mother, who was feeling breathless with ever tear she rolled out.

On the other side, the boy was waiting for some serious trouble if the girl does not wake up as to say his destiny lied between her cold unmoving hands. But until then guilt and self-hatred shall befriend him until further notice. "It's your entire fault!" Raquel's best friends Amanda and Laura yelled and blamed the guy, as if he was not blaming himself quite enough.
