WE ALL HAVE STORIES TO TELL

Every-day people, we all have stories to tell
Characters in a very long, long, long novel
When the clouds are fair, and young the breeze
We play our drums with happiness and ease

We dream with the rising sun, and build reality
The forest is our friend, the earth our community
We struggle to feed our dim minds and our bellies
Working the mountains and the descending valleys

Our hands are strong, our feet swift and steady
And our eyes flooded with the desires of our body
Unprepared for pain and praying for softer comfort
With all things unsure, we look for water in the desert

We arise with the day, holding onto our memories
In our thoughts and smiles, we bury all of our worries
Stirred by love and pain, our spirits go low and high
We hope on a greener tomorrow far in the waiting sky

Touched by the droplets of an ever changing society
Diverse colours sprinkle forth in a most rich variety
We like to fantasize and imagine, far unto a farewell
Every-day people, we all have stories to tell.
