PLOT SUMMARY:
"When everyone else mysteriously vanishes from their wealthy town, the teen residents of West Ham must forge their own society to survive."
- IMDbThe first episode of the "The Society" takes place in West Ham, where apparently the return of a mystic stink is bothering the citizens. Later, all of the students are sent on a school trip but returns shortly after because of a change of plans.
And here begins all their problems.
Because when they get back home there are no signs of family, friends or actually anyone at all.
Where's everyone? Why are they isolated from the outside world? And of course, how are they supposed to survive?
It's in times like this you're starting to see your friends' true self.FIRST IMPRESSION:
I have to admit when I first found this show I was skeptical. This may look like a good mix of "the 100" and some typical teen drama, but I would actually say it goes deeper. Even with all the millions of characters they're trying to squeeze together into a single episode, they somehow manage to balance it after a while. However, I won't say that the concept is very unique and some parts are quite messy (or maybe it's just me), but overall this was a positive surprise for me.CHARACTERS:
Like I mentioned earlier, it may look like they're trying to break a record in having the most main characters, but I personally think it's okay with a thought on the concept. There's a lot going on, and you're able to see the conflict from all perspectives. Here are some of the main characters:Cassandra Pressman
Cassandra is the typical leading character who takes control immediately when the plot turns in the first episode. I also got the impression that you either hate her or support her at the fullest, and there's nothing between. She and her sister, Allie Pressman, are also very close, but she does indeed have some enemies too.
