Mom and dad come home

I woke up to the explorer ship docking onto the starboard side of the ship. I slowly sit up still pretty tired I rubbed the fog out of my eyes And walk over to my brothers crib to check on him he was still sound asleep cuddling his stuffed monkey. I smiled then I make my way to the bathroom to get ready for the day after I do my morning routine then I walked back into the Room I shared with tanner (my little brother) making my way to the closet I quickly git dressed in my typical shirt with jeans. I walked back over to the crib And placed my thumb on a button attached to the side of the crib making one side slowly roll down. I Kneel down and rest my hand gently on Tanners Arm then I shake him softly

Max walker-Good morning buddy time to wake up

Tanner rolled around so he was facing me

Tanner walker- ugggggggggg no Bubba Pwease

Max walker- well if you don't get up you won't be able to welcome mom and dad home

His face shot up

Max walker- their home

He said excitedly not fully awake yet. He rubbed his eyes with his fists then he made grabby hands signaling he was ready to get up. I picked him up bye his arms and placed him on my hip. Wen I put my hand under his butt to hold him I realized instantly that he needed a change I wasn't surprised he usually woke up wet. I brought him over to the changing table and grabbed one of the thick diapers from underneath along with a basket of supplies I new mom and dad would want to spend as much time with tanner as possible before they had to go back to the ice plant to see if we could live on it. and I don't want them to stop having fun because tanner Needed a diaper change. I slid the thick diaper under his but Removing the dirty diaper throwing in the bin. I Grab the baby powder and Sprinkle some on his crotch Area then I lifted his feet up allowing me to put power on his but and in between His checks then I tape up the thick diaper being carful to tape it Evenly.

Lucky he is still sleepy so he wasn't wiggling to much. I walked over to our closest to grab tanners clothes. I grabbed a curious Jorge long sleeve t shirt, some overalls, socks with Monkeys on it and a Pair of blue Velcro Shoes.If you couldn't guess he Likes monkeys. I turn to see Tanner sucking on his thumb i Quickly replaced His thumb with a pacifier i was Determined to beat that habit.

Max walker- ok Buddy time to get dressed.

I picked him up and set him on the ground. Then I Kneeled down So he could use my shoulders as balance.

Max walker- hands up

He puts his hands up allowing me to slip the Curious George shirt on

Max walker- good Job Tanner

I tickle him a little Making him giggle

Max walker- ok Hands on shoulders Buddy

He Does as I instructed Resting his hands on top of my shoulders I moved His legs into the Pant Holes one at a time Finishing by pulling up the overalls To his shoulders and snaping them Together. Last but not lest i slide on his Socks and shoes.

Max walker- Look at that we did it I say enthusiastically

Tanner smiled and giggled in response Just then I hear The door sliding open Mom and Dad must be home. I quickly pick Tanner up and walk To the living room Where Mom and Dad were Putting down there gear I Set Tanner Down allowing him to run into Mom and Dads Arms

Tanner walker- Mommy daddy

They hugged For a second before dad Broke off to come and give me a hug

David walker- i missed you mono

Max walker- I missed you too Dad

mono Being the nickname I had been given when I was younger. After we hugged for a bit i went over to mom Who was still being tackled by Tanner i gave Her a side hug seeing that Tanner clearly wasn't ready to let go

Jessica walker- oh i missed you so much Max She exclaimed

Max walker- I missed you too Mom im glad your back

I gave her a kiss on the cheek

Max walker- i Missed you both. I have a Really important test today though and I won't make it in time if I don't stop for breakfast now

Jessica walker- Of course honey School comes first I'll see you tonight

Max walker- ok Bye i yell Shutting the door behind me

I make my way to the mess hall hoping today won't be too stressful I hate tests
