It was from the moment I met you,
a chilly spring morning,
that everything was covered in a hue of blue
For it was the shade of my feelings,
the colour of your eyes
and the tint of the sky
And my life continued to be blue
Because it was the ash of your cigarettes,
the lollipop between my teeth,
those ripped jeans and hidden bruises
It had a greyish tinge to it the day you left
Since it was raining,
and because of the coldness in your eyes
and the silence in my scream
Now still, it covers my life
It is the colour of heaven and of the chill,
the colour of the clouds and of midnight tears
And I believe when I die,
I shall be buried in blue,
because I still won't be able to see you
