Umbrella
an umbrella shields you from the rain
providing a cover
so you don't get wet
the drops of water
coming down from the sky
could soak through your shirt
and freeze your skin
but you walk
carelessly
knowing you are safe
under the umbrella
but
when you no longer need it
when the rain subsides
you discard the umbrella
and you forget how it shielded
you
from the clouds
and you forget
how the umbrella felt the harsh
drops fall from the sky, so
you
could stay dry
