Annabeth's P.O.V.
In the U.S.~
For thanksgiving this year Percy and I decided to celebrate with my family since we planned to celebrate Christmas with his family. His argument was that his mom made "the best Christmas cookies ever", and I didn't doubt this, plus I missed my dad.

I felt bad, however, that Sally and Paul would be spending the occasion alone so I suggested that they come too. Percy offered this to them and they gladly accepted. Now we were all walking to the front door of my dad's house, my house. I didn't realize how nervous I was until that moment.

Percy caught up with me and grabbed my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. I looked at his smiling face and realized my dad hasn't seen Percy and me together, as a couple. That didn't help with my nervousness.

I knocked on the door and almost immediately my dad opened it. "Annabeth!" He exclaimed. "Dad," I ran up and hugged him. We pulled away and my dad turned to Percy, and shook his hand, "Nice to see you again Percy."

"You too sir," he replied shaking my dad's hand. My dad laughed, "Just call me dad." I put my hand on my forehead, horribly embarrassed. My cheeks were were probably as Percy's, who had tomato red cheeks. He let out a nervous laugh.

Luckily Sally and Paul made it to the door before it could get any more awkward. "Hello, you must be Annabeth's dad, I'm Percy's mom, Sally and this is my husband Paul."

"Please call me Fredrick." My dad extended his hand and Paul took it, but Sally hug him like they've known each other forever. I smiled at her friendliness. "Honey who's there?" My step-mother called from inside, then she appeared behind my dad in the doorway. "Oh, hello," she smiled.

"Annabeth," she said squeezing past my dad and running up to hug me, "Welcome home." I hugged back, "Thanks."

She noticed Percy after pulling away, "Percy!" She hugged him too, "Nice to see you again!" He looked surprised but quickly snapped out of it and hugged her back, "You too." The introductions started again so I looked at Percy and motioned with my head for us to go inside.

We made it into the living room before running into Bobby and Matthew. "Annabeth!" They both screamed, murdering my eardrums, before running up to sandwich me in bear hugs. I hugged back, struggling to say, "Can't......breathe." They let go muttering "sorry."

"It's fine. Boys, I want you to meet someone. This is Percy, my boyfriend." I put my arm around Percy and he put his arm around me. Matthew motioned me to come closer. I did and he whispered, "Like the Percy Jackson, the one you went on and on and on and on-"

"Yes," I snapped, "And if either of you say anything about that to him, I'll throttle you. Pass on the message to your brother." He nodded and smirked. "Annabeth, can you help me with this?" My step-mom called from the kitchen. "I'll be right back," I told Percy before kissing his cheek and going to the kitchen.

Upon entering I saw my step-mother struggling to carry various types of food. She noticed and said, "Oh good can you help me bring this to the table?"

"Yeah," I grabbed a few of the platers from her and brought them to the table. "Okay that's all the food, can you get everyone in here while I bring out the silverware?" I nodded, "Sure I'll be right back." I walked into the living room where the adults were watching football and Bobby, Matthew, and Percy were talking.

"It's ready," I announced. Bobby and Matthew ran past me while everyone else slowly made their way to the table. I walked with Percy, "What were they saying?" I asked hoping they didn't mention how I talked about Percy.

"They just bombarded me with questions," he responded. "About what?" I laughed. "Pretty much everything: the wars, me, our relationship. Those kids could be interrogators!" I exclaimed. "haha yep."

We ate with millions of side conversations through-out the table. At one point Bobby saw part of the tattoo on Percy arm and asked, "What's that?" My eyes widened. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap I thought. "It's nothing," he replied.

Apparently everyone decided at that moment to listen to only that conversation. "What's nothing?" Sally asked. "That thing on his arm," Bobby answered pointing at Percy's arm. Sally, who was sitting next to Percy, pulled up his sleeve and gasped. Percy sunk down in his seat and tried for a smile.

"PERSEUS JACKSON! You got a tattoo." Sally yelled. My dad was sending me a disapproving look. "No- I mean yes, but not by choice. Just let me explain."

My dad crossed his arms, and Sally was trying to glare, but it just looked like a stare. "The Romans burned it into me when I joined the legion. If I had the choice I would never get one," he looked at his mom, "I promise." Everyone seemed to visibly calm down.

"You swear," Sally asked still staring him down. "Swear on the river Styx." She smiled, "Good."

"What does that mean?" Asked Bobby. "It means he's not lying," I explain, knowing that if I got into detail we'd be here forever.

After we finished eating we had to wait another 20 minutes for desert to finish cooking. We watched football for a little while before my step-mother suggested we play the "thankful game." We all agreed to play.

Matthew, who was laying on the floor I front of the TV, went first, "I'm thankful for food," he sat up, "Seriously that was some good stuff, thanks mom." She smiled proudly, "Thank you Matthew."

Sally went next, "I'm thankful for family, and that we've all survived to make it here today," she smiled at Percy and me. Paul went after her, "I'm thankful for being part of all of this with all of you wonderful people." I was about to go when the oven timer went off. "Pie's done!" Bobby said, and he and his brother jumped up and ran into the kitchen along with all the adults who were walking pretty fast.

I started to go as well but Percy pulled me back to him. "Hold on," he said. "What?" I asked. "I wanna know what you're grateful for." I smiled at him, "I'm grateful for you seaweed brain."

"No way, I was gonna say the same exact thing," he replied wrapping his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah," he kissed me. A short minute later we were interrupted by a, "Ewwwww!" We turned to see Bobby and Matthew fake gagging and throwing up. "Can we help you?" I asked. "We were gonna ask you if you were coming for pie," Bobby started. "But clearly you guys are busy sucking each other's faces," Matthew finished. They both walked out.

"Happy Thanksgiving Wisegirl," Percy said leaning in. "Happy Thanksgiving Seaweed Brain," I returned before kissing him.

In any country but the U.S.
"What do we do? They don't celebrate Thanksgiving here," I asked Percy. "I don't know, maybe we could make-out all day," he offered. I shrugged, "Okay." And so we did.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Unless you're not from the U.S. in that case HAPPY THURSDAY! Sorry if this is bad, but I was rushing to finish it before Thanksgiving. That's it.....
