Chapter Two

Chapter Two:
"I Can See It On Your Face."

"Tommy! Stop touching me!" Eden whispered harshly, trying to get away from the boy. "You're not gonna catch anyone if you're so loud."

Six months had passed, and in those six months, Eden had effectively become part of the group. Of course, spending her time hanging around four boys that her parents didn't exactly deem worthy completely enraged them. Eden didn't care. In fact, she was more than happy to enrage them a little after everything they put her through.

"No can do, babe." Tommy winked, pulling her back by his side. Eden scoffed quietly, shining the light onto a bush. She raised her hand, the back of it resting against Tommy's chest to stop him.

"I think.. I saw something." She said slowly, pointing forward. "Definitely Davey or Curty."

Woody grinned, motioning for them to move towards the bush.

"Gotcha, dude!" Woody shouted, shining the light in Davey's face.

"Jesus Christ!" Davey whipped around, squinting his eyes because of the bright light from Woody.

"Hiding in Farraday's spot, man? Lame." Tommy shook his head in mock disappointment, "You're better than that."

Eden nodded in agreement, "There's a tree, like, right there, too." She shined her flashlight behind him so that they could see the tree.

"Trails in fifteen, after we catch this bitch." Woody licked his teeth, grinning as he spoke.

"He's close, I can practically smell the noxema on him." Tommy sniffed, looking down at Eden. "Can't you?"

"Maybe he's in the tree." Eden shrugged, shining her light in the branches. "Ugh, shit. He's not."

"Oh!" Tommy smirked, "Princess has a potty mouth, doesn't she?"

"Tommy, we talked about this!" Eden whined, her blonde hair falling into her eyes. The girl was thankful that it was dark out, or Tommy would've surely seen her red cheeks and teased her relentlessly about it.

"Right, right." Tommy pretended to think, "Yeah, no, I don't remember."

Eden rolled her eyes, "Mhm. Sure, now let's go find Curty."

"Uh, I don't think so. You're having trouble breathing as it is-" Tommy shook his head, crossing his arms sternly.

"To-"

"Don't argue with me, Eden.. I can see it on your face. Stay here with Davey and catch your breath."

"Vaginas are magical." Woody sighed dreamily. Eden scrunched her nose up in disgust, turning her head to look back at them from the window.

"I can't wait to get laid." Farraday's eyes were wide as he focused on the magazine.

"Ew." Eden murmured, shaking her head and focusing her eyes back on the moon. The warm summer breeze blew against her face, calming her nerves as she swayed with the wind. Her eyes closed, her hair tickling her neck as she leaned onto the wooden windowsill.
