Would you risk it all to save a friend in need?
Kayla appears to have it all but when she meets Joe her world is literally turned upside down. She's dealing with some life threatening issues and she has to make some serious decisions to fix her life...
The next day, I wake up to the smell of food. Great, Tommy is in my damn kitchen cooking breakfast. I stayed in here last night, Tommy knocked, but I didn't answer. I was acting like I was asleep. I didn't really want to be bothered anyway, I just wanted to be alone. My baby was gone and I didn't know what to do. I physically couldn't function without him being next to me. I still can't.
I go into the bathroom, shower, do my hair, and put on clothes. I have to at least talk to him and try to be nice. Joe would want me to at least try. Ugh, I hate it here.
I walk out of the bedroom and he's sitting at the table.

"Hey! I made some of everything, healthy of course. Joe would kill me if I fed his wife and unborn baby, junk. We really haven't had time together, and I didn't know what you liked, so I just threw some things together." He says, somewhat rambling.
Why is he being nice?
"Thanks, Tommy."
"Sit down." He says the jumps up to pull out my seat. I slowly take a seat at the table, then he sits down as well. "How'd you sleep?" He asks
"Horrible. I'm used to going to sleep with Joe, sleeping in his arms, waking up to him....." I trail off. "I hate this."
"I know you do. Did you talk to him?" He asks stuffing his face with pineapples.
"Yes, I talked to him briefly, basically just saying he loves me, and that he just wanted to call to see how I was doing. I told him I was okay, then I asked about him, he just said it was alright, he didn't get too much into it. I don't think he wanted me to worry. He said he'll call later on today, and that was it." I shrug my shoulders.
"Okay, you'll talk to him soon, just hang in there. Is there anything you need me to do? Joe said you're supposed to rest."
"He told me to start packing. So you can do that, but I'm not going to have you wait on me hand and foot." I say
"Why not? That's what I'm here for, use me as much as you can." He says with a smile.
"You're trying too hard, Tommy."
"Yeah, I am! Because I want to get in your good graces. I want you to forgive me, and I want you to put your trust in me. I caused a lot of pain with you and almost broke up your relationship with my brother, and I'm sorry for that. Seriously."
"You tried, but we wouldn't have broken up. We're too tight."
"You're right, and I see that now. You guys have something I've never had with a woman and I'm a little jealous of that. You guys love each other so much, and as I found out, nothing can come between you two. I admire that." He says and he just has this sweetness about him.
"That's nice of you to say." I smile.
"It's the truth. And seriously, from the bottom of my heart, I'm so sorry I betrayed you guys. He's my brother, and I let money come between us for a moment. But I got my mind right and I'm happy I have my brother back." He says honestly. I can tell he's being genuine.
