Chapter 10

I'm so happy I found this song after all those years ;---; it kinda fits to this chapter too lmao-

At the Castle -Evening

"(Y/n)...You're here for a reason" The girl said calmly.

"Yeah, I'm supposed to be 'Queen Hayla', right? But that seriously doesn't make sense!" You say incredulously.

"Because you ARE Queen Hayla!" She said angrily

She looked down and sighed, then looked back at you

"Long time ago there was a king and a Queen living in a wonderful big castle with happy people. Soon, the King and Queen had a baby girl. They named her Y/N. She would be the next one to rule over the kingdom and protect her people..." She said with a smile that quickly faded away

"But one day a big giant monster attacked our kingdom and took everything we had. The monster brought chaos to our home, flooding the streets and our houses. Everything was destroyed. The King and Queen did everything they could to save their Kingdom, but it was no use. They knew we could never defeat the monster, so all they could do was save their child. So at least one day, she would rule over our Kingdom. In order to protect the Princess, we sent her to another world ."

"I-i.. I was the princess...?" You asked in shock

She nodded in agreement.

"You grew up with a normal family, not remembering anything from...our world. We thought we could bring you back somehow...we tried everything to bring you back so you can take the place as the Queen. But we failed... I'm sorry" she said looking at the ground

You let out a big sigh. It was silent between you and the girl. Until she stood up and said

"I know it's a lot to take and a huge responsibility to be a queen... I think it's best that you rest now"

You nodded

"Anyway this is your bedroom. You can sleep here and we'll see each other tomorrow" She said.

She opened the door to leave and smiled at you. Then she left and closed the door behind her.

"Wow that was tough..." Sonic said scratching his ear

He looked over to you.

"Hey what's this long face?" He asked, a look of concern on his face.

You looked the ground sad. Seeing you so down made Sonic worried.

"I can't believe all this... M-my parents are dead...and I didn't know that... I couldn't even say goodbye or have a last hug...Now they're gone!"

You couldn't help but let the tears fall down your cheeks. You wiped them away but there would always come new fresh ones out of your eyes.

He doesn't know what to do except pulling you into a hug. He wrapped his arms around you, making you calm down. Soon he let go of you and gave you a smile. Thanks to him you calmed down, but still you didn't smile. These thoughts were to much to handle.

"C'mon where's that sweet smile?" He asked

He didn't have to do anything to make you smile. The fact he was there with you was enough to make you smile

"Hey there's that smile, I like!" He said chuckling

Sonic stood up and looked at the clock. Then he looked back to you

"You should better sleep now, (Y/n)" he said

You nodded and laid down. You looked back at sonic.
