Sorry I haven't posted much. I kind of lost inspiration for my other story and I didn't have much internet for the last couple of weeks, but I got it back.
This story is based on the movie 50 First Dates. If you haven't watched it, I suggest you to watch it before reading this so it'll make more sense. Also in this story Alice had another daughter named Emma.
EMMA'S POV:
I sat on the couch reading my book. I looked to the clock and saw the time. 4:02. Perfect. I grabbed the remote and turned the TV on. I grabbed the blanket I was laying with, and the book and ran upstairs. I opened my bedroom and threw it in my room. I ran to the closet and unlocked it with a key, I grabbed a candle that smelled like gingerbread. I ran down the stairs and saw her pulling on the side of the curb. I locked the door and ran to the kitchen quickly lighting it. I placed it on the table. I quickly ran upstairs as I heard the keys on the other side. I locked the closet. I walked downstairs and saw Alice walking towards the kitchen with her bag.
"Hi mom." I walked over towards her. She turned around and looked at me.
"Hi honey." She said. "You lit the candle I bought for you."
"Yeah, it has a nice smell." I said looking at it.
"Your father is going to be home at 5, so what should we do till then?" She asked crossing her arms. I already knew what I was going to say.
"Dad painted the garage, but he said that it was too white. He was wondering if you wanted to paint it and add some color to it." I looked at her. Her face got lit up, she smiled widely, ideas probably already running through her head on what to draw.
"That sounds like fun. Do you know where the paint is at?"
"Garage, but mom I'm going to go to Pop's for a while, I'll be back at 6, call me if you need anything okay?" I looked at her. She nodded her head walking upstairs. I grabbed my bag that was by the door and left the house. I walked over to my motorcycle and tied my bag to my bike. I put my helmet on and drove to the gym.
After two hours of working out I went home. I wanted to lose weight after having to eat what mom was going to cook for us. She has always been cooking, chicken and mashed potatoes every night. I opened the door and heard music coming from the garage. I saw FP sitting at the table.
"Hey dad." I walked over towards him.
"Hi honey. How was your time at the gym?" He asked looking at him work in front of him.
"Fine. Other than perverts watching me all the time." I said putting my bag on the table. I sat on the chair and sighed. "I wish Betty and Jug was here."
"I do too honey, but they couldn't live this life. That's why they moved to Paris." He looked at me. "Jellybean said she is able to come next year, and Polly doesn't know if she can come home." I looked up to meet his eyes. "I know it can sometimes get lonely with just us four, but Betty and Jug are in college and Polly is in California taking care of her twins."
"I just wish they wouldn't have left all of a sudden." I looked at the clock and saw 6:19. "I'm a Freshman in College dad, but I decided to leave college to take care of mom with you. I can't have you doing it all by yourself. Your getting old dad."
"Whatever." He said. We heard the music turn off. He grabbed his work and put it in his bag and grabbed out his book. I grabbed my bag and went upstairs. I changed out of my gym clothes and into comfy clothes. I heard soft ringing on my computer. I went over and saw an incoming call.
"Hey." I said looking at Betty.
"Hey. How's mom and everyone?" She asked looking at me. I sighed.
"It's the same. She's had most good days and not as many bad days. She started to remember some things. She remembers our dogs name." I looked at her.
"That's good since the doctor said she wasn't going to remember anything. Is she losing memory?" I nodded my head. "What did she forget?"
"How old you and Jug are." I grabbed the laptop and brought it with me. "Your not with us that much any more, so she forgets things that aren't with her a lot."
"What about Charles?"
"We tell her he'll back by eight which he normal is." I heard the front door open. "And speaking of Charles. Well he's home so that's my signal." I brought Betty downstairs with me. "Guys, Betty called me and wanted to know how we are doing."
"Hi Betty." Alice said waving to the camera. You could see the small hurt look on the video.
"Hi mom. Hi FP, and of course Charles." She said.
That night I've lived for over 428 days. Everything was always the same unless if it was a bad day.
FP'S POV:
I woke up and saw Alice sleeping peacefully next to me. I kissed her cheek and got up from the bed. I took a shower and got dressed. I saw Emma asleep on the couch with a blanket around her body. I went over to lightly waking her. She sat up and looked at me.
"I fell asleep on the couch again didn't I?" She questioned. I nodded my head fixing my forehead. I heard steps coming downstairs. And there she dressed. Different. She had a dark blue summer dress with white flowers on and sunglasses. Emma and me looked at each other differently.
"Hi honey. What are you doing?" I asked.
"It's a nice Wednesday morning so I thought on wearing a dress today. Emma don't be late for school."
"Okay mom." Emma said. She said goodbye and left the house. "Why was she wearing different clothes?"
"Maybe she has a different attitude today." I said sounding stupid. "I got to go to work, I'll see you at 6. Goodbye honey. Make sure you clean the house while were gone." I pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Goodbye."
After a long day at work, I went home and was greeted by Alice with a kiss while she went to work on the garage. I sat at the table and worked on the same case from today, but changed if she came back into the house. The door opened and Emma walked in.
"How was the gym?"
"Fine." The music blaring from the other side of the house. "What do you think she's painting today?"
"She painted a flower yesterday, maybe it'll be a bee on a flower." I guessed. The music stopped and I sighed. I grabbed my book putting my stuff away. Emma ran upstairs and called Betty or Betty called her. I cooked with Alice the same meal each other, every night. Charles walked in, Emma walked downstairs with Betty on the computer.
"I can't believe Emma is graduating in just fourteen days. I can't wait." Alice said.
"Me too honey." I laid down in bed. I kissed her forehead. "Goodnight baby. I love you."
She already fell asleep. This was my life. To repeat every day the same way, I only did it because I love her and she loves me. That's what loved ones do for their significant other. We take care of them through thick and thin. Even if she thinks your 46 when your actually 48.
