School wasn't any different today for Jungkook. Classes were boring, but he did his work and paid attention anyways, he hung out with Taehyung during short breaks, and of course... his daily beatings occurred. After school, behind it. Where nobody could see them.

"Why are you so weak!?" Jackson grumbled. "Get up." Jungkook tried to stand up, but he couldn't. His knees gave out on him and he fell. As punishment for that, Jennie kicked him, then stomped on his shoulder with her heel. A bruise was sure to form soon.

"Tsk... Can't believe he's so weak he can't even stand up." Lisa rolled her eyes. "Boooooriiiing~"

"Guess we'll have to force him to, lazy piece of shit." Yoongi huffed, lifting Jungkook's body up by his hair. Jungkook cried out in pain, grunting when his body was slammed into the wall. He was punched in the stomach, clawed at, drug across the rough wall to scrape his face, and thrown to the ground after. Insults were thrown at him again and Lisa spit her gum out on him. Then, they finally left.

Jungkook struggled to breathe, but he tried to get to anyways. It hurt a lot. Both mentally and physically. Not only was he beaten the shit out of, but his cuts started to tear open and bleed. With much effort, he started to get up. Mostly through using the wall to support him. He managed to stand up properly, without using the wall. Jungkook whimpered again, wiping the tears and blood away from his face. He put his hood up to hide his face, fixing his hair just enough so it hid a little more of his wounds. Jungkook then left the area, seeing Taehyung. He didn't look at him though. Taehyung spotted him though.

"Hey, Koo. You okay?" Taehyung asked, raising an eyebrow.

No. "Yeah." Jungkook murmured. Taehyung smiled a little, gently grasping Jungkook's hand. Jungkook flinched and instinctively pulled back, his breath becoming irregular. "Sorry..." he whispered, once he realized what Taehyung was doing.

"It's alright..." Taehyung mumbled, slowly moving closer to Jungkook. Jungkook didn't look at him, afraid he'd see the wounds. But Taehyung lifted his chin up gently, gasping at the scrapes and bruises forming. "Wh-What happened to you?"

"...Fell.." Jungkook lied. He felt Taehyung gently rest the tips of his fingers against Jungkook's jawline to tilt his head and examine the wounds better. Soon, his head was pushed off and his hair was brushed out of the way.

"Koo... Must've fell pretty bad..." Taehyung pouted, earning a hum from the boy in front of him. "Let's take you home and get you patched up. Are you hurt anywhere else?"

"..No." Jungkook whispered. That was another lie, but Taehyung didn't need to know.

"Alright... Come." Taehyung wrapped an arm around him carefully, leading him down the sidewalk.

Jungkook sat on the toilet, letting Taehyung take care of the wounds on his face. Taehyung's touch was so gentle and so caring. Jungkook almost wanted to lean into it, but he didn't want to disturb Taehyung and be told to move back where he was. So he stayed still and let Taehyung tilt his head when needed.

"There... All better." Taehyung smiled at Jungkook, gently fixing his hair for him. "I'll get some ice downstairs for the bruises. We can do our homework together after. How's that sound?"

"F-Fine by me... Thank you.." Jungkook whispered, nodding and bowing politely.

"Anything for you." Taehyung said before leaving the room, Jungkook being left alone.

Even though Taehyung was always there for him... He couldn't help but feel so alone. Maybe because Taehyung barely even knew half of the shit that goes on for Jungkook, or anybody for that matter, but even if Taehyung knew... Jungkook felt like nobody would care. Maybe Taehyung would hate him for it. He'd... find him weak and ditch him.

Was he a horrible person for thinking that Taehyung would do such things? Probably. Was Taehyung actually even going to care? Probably not. Did Jungkook feel like Taehyung was pretending to care, like others? Absolutely. That's why he was scared to trust Taehyung, to tell him anything at all. Anybody else he ever trusted only turned their backs on him. He didn't want that to happen again... so he didn't tell Taehyung anything. Only lies.

Taehyung soon came back with an ice pack, handing it to Jungkook. "Here you go... You alright?"

"Huh? Y-Yeah... Thanks.." Jungkook whispered, slowly taking the ice pack and placing it on his bruises.

"You sure?"

"Just spaced out is all..." Lies. Always those lies.

"Okay... Let's do our homework, then we can watch some movies if you'd like." Taehyung said with a sweet smile, holding his hand out. Jungkook nodded, gently taking ahold of Taehyung's hand with his free one. He slowly stood up, nearly falling over, and followed Taehyung out of the room

And they did exactly what Taehyung said. They did their homework, helping each other when needed, and then... They rested on Taehyung's bed, snuggled up next to each other under the blankets as their eyes were glued to the TV. Taehyung was the first to pass out, his head resting on Jungkook's shoulder. Jungkook had a small smile on his face, staring down at Taehyung instead of the TV.

Soon, Jungkook was able to fall asleep.
