The Article

Chapter One

Riele POV:

I was sound asleep right up to the point when my alarm went off, I groaned and got up to start the day. I was home for the weekend because my parents had a dinner they wanted me to attend. I walked into my closet and picked out my outfit of the day and went to go shower after I got changed I did my hair and makeup.

Riele's Outfit-

Natural Makeup:

When I finished I went downstairs for breakfast. As I walked into the kichen/dinning area I saw my parents and my sister just about to start eating breakfast.

"Good morning!" I said with a big smile
"Good morning Angel" My dad said to me
"Good morning sweetie" My mom said smiling back
"Morning sis!" Reiya said smiling as well
"So what's the plans for today" I asked
"Well we need the new designs for this week's fashion show, you have a meeting with the mayor's daughter and you have to review your speech for tonight's big dinner." Dad said
"Wow, that's a lot for one day" I said kinda surprised but not rlly cuz this was normal
"I know sweetie but if anyone can do it I know you can." Mom said with a reassuring smile
"But why can't Reiya do ittttt" I said whining a bit
"I can't I have a packed schedule too, but we have a surprise for you after the dinner" She said back
"REALLY, I LOVE SURPRISES" I said now excited to get through the day
"We know honey" Mom said laughing

Meanwhile at the Los Angeles Times Magazine and Newspaper...

Jace's POV:

Brian-Jace's Boss

"JACEEEE, MY OFFICE NOW!!!" Brian yelled making me groan
"He's mad again" Sean said
"Really I didn't notice" I said sarcastically
"What did you do?" Jack asked
"I don't know, but wish me luck" I said as I walked in the direction of his office
"Hope you make it out" Sean said chuckling
"Yeah yeah" I replied

As I walked towards my boss's office I suddenly got really nervous because although I rarely see my boss in a good mood he's always somewhat composed.

In Brian's office...

"You haven't given me a single article in weeks, we're behind schedule and we could miss the deadline" Brian said
"I know and I sorry I just need a little more time I can do it" I said to him
"I've given you more than enough time and you still haven't given me anything so I've decided that I'll pick the article you'll be writing about." He said
"Whatttt!!, come on boss all I nee-" I tried to say but got cut off
"That's enough Mr. Norman I will let you know as soon as I find the perfect article for you" He said to me
"Yes sir" I said disappointed
"You and I both know that you're a great writer..but you've been off recently and I just think that maybe you need a little inspiration to get your flow back..okay" He said trying to get me to understand
"Yes sir I understand" I said to him and with that I left the office
As I walked out Sean and Jack ran up to me
"So what happened man" Sean asked
"Yeah tell us" Jack added
"He said he going to pick the article I'll be writing about because I haven't submitted any articles lately" I told them with a sigh
"That sucks man but hey it could've gone worse" Sean said trying to cheer me up
"Yeah Sean's right and maybe it won't be so bad maybe you'll get something good to write about" Jack said patting my back
"Yeah maybe" I said trying to think positively

Back at the Downs Mansion....
~A few hours later~

Riele's POV:

"Ahhhhh finally finished, soooooo what's my surprise". I said
"Oh right I'll go get it for you" Reiya said smiling towards me
"It's something you've been asking for a while now" Dad said to me
"Yeah and you're gonna love him" mom added with an excited look
"Him?!? You got me a boyfriend?!" I said half joking half serious
"What?! NO absolutely not!" Dad said with a grumble making me laugh
"Then what is it" I said still laughing a bit
Reiya walked out with a big box with holes in it
"Here it is" Reiya said as she walked back into the room
She handed me the box carefully
"Go ahead and open it sweetie" Mom said
I opened the box and saw the cutest little puppy ever
"ITS A PUPPY!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you" I said as I ran to hug all of them
"You're welcome angel" Dad said to me but I knew it came from all of them

Puppy:

"So what are you gonna name him?"Mom asked while side hugging dad
"Ajax Downs" I said proudly
"Ajax? Like the cleaning supply?" Reiya asked confused
"Exactly like the cleaning supply" I said making everyone laugh

We hung out for a little while talking and playing games until eventually I told them I had to go home because I had a lot of things to do and I also had to get stuff for Ajax tomorrow. I said my goodbyes and headed home.

A/ N- That's it for chapter one, there wasn't much going on but I promise that the next chapter will be more exciting.
