i waved goodbye to finneas with a small smile and made my way to billie's room. she was on her phone but looked up at me when she heard the door open. she set her phone down and pouted at me. "cuddle?"
i grinned and walked over to her, getting on the bed, and cuddling into her side. "you're such a softie."
she gasped. "take that back! right now!"
"nope!" i smirked.
"i'm not soft." she grumbled.
"how many times have you asked to cuddle since i've got here?"
she was silent for a moment, tracing patterns on my hand.
"exactly. you're soft." i teased.
"whatever," she grumbled, wrapping both of her arms around me, and burying her head into the crook of my neck. "i don't care."
i laughed softly, beginning to run a hand through her silver hair softly. it was silent for a moment as i did so.
"hey, bil?" i called out quietly after a while.
"yes, baby?"
"i'm really glad that you texted me that night."
