7: Garden Princess (part 2)

When they stood before her, the one in black smirked his toothy smirk at her and winked,

"Your Highness, I believe you've met my brother, Amane."

...

Yashiro's mouth opened as if she was about to speak, but then it closed. She studied the two for a long time and tried to decipher what was happening.

What was happening?

She had remembered that Hanako mentioned he had a brother, but that was only once and she seemed to forget that fact. She had never imagined Hanako's brother being his literal twin.

Her eyes darted away from him and met Hanako's, speaking with her eyes which the boy didn't seem to pick up.

"Ooh, ooh! Is this a staring contest, your Highness? If it is, I want in!" It was the twin in black speaking, his hyperactive behavior already showing through.

Standing up, Yashiro looked at the two of them, sparing Hanako a few extra glances. She noticed that he started to blush a little for no apparent reason that she knew of.

"What are your names? The Yugi Twins..?" She asked, deciding to play dumb and pretend to not know Hanako.

The twin in black grinned and bowed in front of her, causing her to blush. She wasn't used to this much attention or respect. Though this twin was a little iffy.

"Oh!" He smirked. "My name is Prince Tsukasa of the Dead~ And my broootherrr on the other hand, can introduce himself." Tsukasa rolled his eyes as he knew what Yashiro was up to, but decided not to say anything.

Tsukasa. I need to remember that for later.

"Nice to meet you.. Prince Tsukasa." She mumbled.

Yashiro shifted a bit to face Hanako, the boy in white, giving him a small smile. His face was expressionless now and he just bowed and said, "Prince Amane of the Living.."

"What's the matter, Amane? Not very talkative today? A cat caught your tongue?" Tsukasa hounded on Hanako, his eyes glaring.

"..." he still said nothing.

Tsukasa grabbed at his twin's shoulders and stared into his eyes. "It's very rude to ignore a princess. Especially that princess." He let out a giggle.

Beads of sweat formed on his face as he stared back, it being as if he was staring back at his reflection. He felt his brother's hands pull away and the eyes of Yashiro staring at him intently.

Hanako took a few steps away from Tsukasa and looked back at Yashiro.

He had to shove his thoughts to the back of his mind, just for a while, so that he could focus on what was happening.

"Tsukasa.. just.. can you please go?" asked Hanako, his eyes serious but weak.

His twin let out a loud exaggerated groan of despair. "Uuuuuggghhhhh! I don't wanna leave my Amane~ I just can't seem to breath properly without him!"

Tsukasa jumped up onto his brother and clung to him and nuzzled him. Hanako just sighed. "Just go.."

"But Amane! I just don't have the energy to move anymore! Looks like I'll have to stick with you!"
