BamBam and Hunter Kang hunched over the map and frowned. They couldn't quite make it make sense to them. So much had changed since the last time they'd seen the map. More mountain ranges and more countries. Even the United States had been moved. How were they going to figure out how to travel from where they were to where they needed to be?
"How are the European packs doing?" Hunter Kang asked.
"The last time I was in Europe, most of the packs had turned on each other," BamBam said. "I don't think it'll be any different now."
"How could you be so sure?"
"...I'm the messenger of the Moon God, I see all that he sees. He saw that the European packs will not come together in time to defeat Loco on their continent."
Daniel backed away from the map and tugged a hand through his hair. The fifteen or so years he had been away from society and its changes made him feel dumb. He didn't know what anyone thought of mythical creatures now. Back then, you could call out to the smaller creatures, brownies and sprites or even regular fairies, and they would be on your side. Even after the second Great War, they were on the side of their kind. He wasn't so sure about that now.
BamBam turned to Mary and smiled. She smiled back and beckoned him over. He came over and stood in front of his best friend.
"...Where's your sister?"
"Bre?"
"...Ren."
"Don't tell me you have a crush on her, too?!"
"No. I just care about her more than I do Breanna. No hard feelings. The woman is a vampire princess. She's unstable and I fear more for her wellbeing than the people she harms."
Mary sighed. "She's back at the house probably. Jin said that he would wait at the house for them just in case they came back during the night. Bre, if you care to know, is probably on her date with Tae and Jungkook."
"That's nice," BamBam said. "How have you and Yoongi been?"
"Great. Yoongi was helping Hoseok and Jungkook with the security problems. He's now in charge of teaching higher level self defense to the pack warriors. Like Shadow and Street fighting."
"Cool. Maybe he could teach me if he has time?"
"He'd be honored to."
Jimin entered the room with Isis and got down to business. "I just got off the phone with Namjoon. He and Ren came back, but something was wrong with her. Right now she's under Jin and Taemin's care," he said. "I was talking with some of the alphas from America and Loco has been all over the continent. He's already taken over some of the older states. Georgia. New York. Maine."
"He's working pretty fast. Can't we slow him down somehow?" Daniel asked.
"We would have done that a long time ago if there was a way," Jimin noted. "The packs in Europe are being attacked by rouges. Jessi has been seen leading some of them. Her brother, Samuel, was spotted a couple days ago in North eastern Asia."
"What of Loco?" BamBam asked.
"He hasn't been spotted directly," Isis informed. "We're sending a team of the Korean packs out to Austria. The headquarters should still be hidden."
"I highly doubt that," Daniel said. "If we're all still here and haven't gotten one sign that it's still hidden and hasn't been found by Loco."
As if by some heavenly force, the alarm sounded. It was a warning, signaling that someone had gotten into the headquarters in Austria. Isis turned to the computer and smiled to herself. She knew that someone would be smart enough to sound the alarm for help. She turned back to the group and nodded.
