"neens, wake up!" nini heard someone whisper. she was alone in her room, and when she realized that she woke up scared. "woah there calm down. it's me, ricky!" the voice said and when her eyes adapted to the darkness she saw her best friend standing there "ricky, what time is it?" "don't kill me, but it's 6am" "ricky it's a saturday!!" the girl screamed annoyed that he would wake her up at this time "shhh, do you trust me?" "how did you even get in here?" she was used to him randomly showing up in the day, but at 6am in the morning it was odd. "you literally gave me a spare key". he was right, she did. "come on, you can sleep in the car" he said grabbing her hand and making her stand up. she kept her eyes closed but she heard him walking around her room, probably picking stuff to take to wherever they were going. "come on" he said taking her by her hand. nini got in the car and immediately went back to sleep. ricky just drove, sometimes looking at the beautiful girl beside him. she looked so peaceful. after a while, nini woke up by ricky lightly shaking her, "we're here". nini realized she didn't know where here was. but she trusted ricky, so wherever they were was probably worth waking up at that time. when she got out of the car she saw that they were at some sort of field. it was still dark so she couldn't see much other than a lot of grass "ricky, what are we doing here?" "we're going to watch the sunrise" he said. the girl finally woke up in excitement. she has always wanted to watch the sunrise, but she could never wake up in time "wait really?" she said in a happy voice. "yeah, i thought we'd have to do it eventually" the boy admitted. nini leaned over and hugged him really tight. they stayed like that for a while, holding each other, until ricky pulled away. "come on or we are going to miss it. i also brought food" he said. the girl just admired him. he was perfect. in every single way. at least in her eyes he was. and that was the moment nina salazar-roberts realized she loved richard bowen.
