     the door opened making light come in the room that was completely dark. "ricky?" big red asked. when he arrived at ricky's house along with ej, carlos and gina, his dad told them that he had gotten back home and slammed the door shut and immediately went into his room. "ricky. are you okay?" gina asked, looking for the boy. the group decided to let gina and red go in first to check on ricky, since he was closer to the two of them.
      the two friends heard sniffles coming from the bed and finally spotted him. "nugget no!" gina said when she saw ricky laying down in his bed hugging franklin, his bear that he got in a carnival with nini, and crying. she immediately rushed over to his side, putting his head on her lap, running her fingers through his hair trying to console him.
     "hey, it's okay. you'll be fine" "stop saying that both of you. i won't be fine" he said looking at his best friends "she didn't even listen to me. i apologized but she didn't even listen. and now she's moving away and we're not even going to talk".
      big red just stood there looking at his friend. last time he was like this was when his mom moved away and that day the only thing that calmed him down was nini. he finally snapped out of it, noticing gina's piercing stare at him, and walked towards the bed, sitting next to gina. "hey dude. she'll forgive you, just give her time. and we'll be here" he said putting a hand on ricky's shoulder.
      "i'll always be here" big red said while ricky started sobbing some more.
