growing up together

I'm pretty sure this was a request on my first chapter <3 forgot who requested it but this is for you

this chapter has lots of time skips but they're sort of the point of the chapter so sorry not sorry

Harry goes running up to Sirius and Remus, who are holding hands and sitting on a park bench, "Uncle Sirius! Uncle Sirius! I made a friend!" The little seven-year-old boy yells.

Sirius smiles, "That's great, Harry. Who is it?"

Harry grins widely, showing his mouth with all his missing teeth, "His name is Draco! He's seven like me!" He holds out his hands to show Sirius seven fingers.

Remus smiles down at the small boy, "Do you wanna go ask Draco if he wants to come back to our place and play with you?"

Harry nods excitedly and turns around before running off to find his friend. Sirius and Remus smile happily after him, remembering the time when they had met for the first time and became friends.

Harry comes running back a couple minutes later with a blonde boy holding his hand. He's just a bit taller than the raven-haired boy, but his smile is just as bright.

"Hello Draco, would you like to ask your parents if it's okay for you to come to our house and hang out with Harry?" Remus asks the child politely.

Draco nods, "My mummy is over there!" He exclaims, pointing towards a woman who is standing in the shadow of a tree near the slide, "I'll go ask her!"

Draco runs towards his mum and they have a quick conversation before he comes back, "Mummy said it's okay and we can play together!"

Draco's mother turns and makes eye contact with Remus. Remus stiffens as she begins walking towards the group of them, "That's Narcissa, isn't it? Lucius's wife?"

Sirius simply shrugs.

"Hello gentlemen," Narcissa says politely as she stops in front of the group, "Lovely day, isn't it?" She asks. When nobody replies, she continues, "I see that my Draco here has taken a liking to your boy. I grant him permission to go back to your house with you, as I," She pauses, "Know you,"

Draco grabs Harry's hands and the two of them start jumping up and down, "I get to go to your house! I get to go to your house!" Draco chants happily.

"Let's go Uncle Sirius and Uncle Remus! I wanna play with Draco!"

Sirius takes Harry's hand and Harry tales Draco's hand, and with Remus trailing beside them, they make their way home.

-the black manor-

"Woah, your house is so cool!" Draco says as the four of them walk into Sirius's home.

Harry nods excitedly, "My room is cool, too! It has lots of toys! Uncle Remus got me a toy car that makes sounds! Wanna see?" Harry asks the blonde who nods his head and chases his friend up the stairs.

Sirius turns to Remus and holds his hands, "Our child is friends with a Malfoy. What do we think?"

Remus shrugs, "Harry's happy, so I don't care if Draco is a Malfoy or not. Draco will, no doubt, be off to Hogwarts, so it will be nice for Harry to have a friend to go along with,"

Sirius sighs, "I guess you're right,"

Harry comes running down the stairs with a small ring in his hand, Draco trailing behind him, "Look what I found! It's a ring! Like for a wedding!"

Remus lets go of Sirius and chuckles, walking towards Harry, "You'll he able to use that ring for your future girlfriend when you get married, won't you?" He says, poking Harry's sides.
