chapter 1: mattia

mattia couldn't believe that he had just scored the number of one of the hottest people he had ever seen and so after roshaun dropped him off at his house, he immediately texted the number that alejandro had given him.

mattia was surprised to find that kairi had left him on read and he couldn't understand why. it wasn't like he had said anything particularly bizarre so he texted the other boy again.

mattia waited eagerly as the typing indicator popped up and went away a couple of times on the screen.

while he didn't quite get the response he wanted, he wasn't mad. kairi never said he wouldn't get a date, just that they would have to talk a bit more (which he had no qualms about). he had still learned stuff about him, such as him going to the private high school downtown, so he felt like the conversation wasn't totally a waste and he couldn't wait until tomorrow when he would get to talk to kairi again.
