Author's Note: So, I'm going to finish this story at a point I hadn't attended to but works for what I want. Looking forward to what you think.

Elias stands on the street across from the rundown church. He's making a call.

"Come on, Russ. The phone is on, you have to notice."

After a while, he hangs up.

"Damn it."

He then enters another number, calling it.

"Yes, captain? Yes, my lead panned out... I think I've found Lazarus... it's a church on Bethany... nothing suspicious that I can see from the outside, I'm going to... yes, I am... but he could be... backup might not get here before..." Elias tries repeatedly, "Yes ma'am, I'm sorry ma'am, I'll wait for backup."

He hangs up, then starts working towards the church. As he does though, his phone rings. He picks it up.

"Hello?"

"Just let my sister go."

"Russ?" Elias asks as he listens.

"I can't. It's not what she needs right now."

"And who are you to decide what she needs?" Lazarus questions.

Taylor looks back at Lazarus as he leads them along, "Who said it was my idea?"

"Well I know it wasn't Martha's idea to get kidnapped by a crazy person." pushes back Lazarus.

"I'm not crazy." Taylor insists.

"You're certainly not making much of a case for me to believe that." Lazarus says somewhat jokingly.

"People who see the truth are often seen as crazy." says Taylor somewhat seriously.

"And what part of the truth is my sister?" wonders Lazarus.

"She's the most important part. She will reveal the truth." Taylor responds ominously.

"Shouldn't she make that decision?" Lazarus pushes back.

"We don't always get to choose when we meet our destiny." Taylor says as he reaches a reinforced door that doesn't match the rest of the run down place.

"But you do?" Lazarus says, stopping suspiciously.

"Oh I didn't get any more choice than you are. I just got a preview of what mine would be. So I embraced it." insists Taylor.

"How did you get that preview? I'd love to know more about mine."

Taylor watches him for a while, "You're already living it."

After a few moments, Taylor pulls out a pair of keys and unlocks the door, going inside. Lazarus holds the door open, unsure if he should follow.

"He is here."

The familiar voice of Martha is heard, "Who? Who is it?"

This makes Lazarus rush into the room as quickly as he can.

"Martha?"

Martha sees Lazarus as soon as he walks in, "Russ!"

Lazarus and Martha start towards each other but Taylor pulls out a knife, making them both stop in their tracks.
