It was the weekend and Joshua had asked you to sleep over at his place. You couldn't reject the offer, so you agreed. With having fun Friday night, you awoke to a beautiful Saturday morning to find Joshua making breakfast...
The rays of the sun shined on your face brightly through the window, causing you to scrunch up your face and yawn while you stretched. You woke up to a bright and shiny Saturday. "Good morning Josh." You said while yawning. As you stretch, your arms move to your side, causing you to feel the other side of the bed. Expecting to find Joshua laying down next to you, you found the space next to you empty. Confused, you look over to your side to find no one, not a single soul, but only pillows and an extra blanket Joshua used last night next to you. You rub your eyes as you sit up on the bed. "Joshua?" You say looking around the room. Not a single sign that he was in the room. You move the covers around you, making you sit on the edge of the bed, reaching over for your phone on the night stand. You checked your phone to find no texts from Joshua. "Hm." You mumbled quietly. You set your phone back down on the night stand and stand up, slowly walking towards the bathroom to wash your face and get rid of your morning grogginess.
Being fully awake, still in your pajamas, you leave the bathroom to grab your phone back from the nightstand. Once you had your phone, you peered through the window to see the sun shining bright. Oh how you would've loved to wake up next to Joshua to see the beautiful sun shining. "Where's Joshua?" You thought to yourself as you opened the door and left the room, making your way downstairs. "Joshua?" You said going down the steps towards the living room.
As soon as you reached the bottom of the steps and entered the living room, you see that the living room is empty. Confused and worried to where Joshua might be, you then hear soft music playing, along with a noise of a sizzle of a pan coming from the kitchen. "Joshua?" You say again, this time going into the kitchen. The music and the noises got louder as you approach closer to the kitchen.
When you reached the kitchen you stood there to find Joshua standing in front of the stove as he's holding a spatula and moving the pan on the stove. Relieved that you found him, you smiled. "Joshua?" You said. Moving along to the music playing, Joshua looked up from the stove and looked over, finding you standing at the entrance of the kitchen. He smiles and says "Well now, looks like sleeping beauty awoke from her slumber." As he moves the spatula on the pan. You giggle and see him flip a pancake on the pan. "What's all of this?." You say in surpise, looking at the counter filled of ingredients and pots and pans. "What does it look like?" He says taking the pancake and placing it on a stack he's done already. "It's pancakes." He adds smiling.
You chuckled and walked over towards Joshua and stood next to him. "Pancakes?" You ask watching him pour that batter into the pan. He nods, as the pan sizzles and the smell of the batter hits your face. "Mmhm." He says. Your heart flutters and you couldn't help but give him heart eyes for doing something so simple yet cute and generous. "Joshy you didn't have to do this." You tell him as you move behind him, wrapping your arms around him as you placed your head against his back, hugging him from behind. "Oh no, please I have to. It's a beautiful day and I thought we could start our day with a nice breakfast." He replies. You couldn't help but smile. "Besides. I'd do anything for you." He adds. Your heart skips a beat as you blush. "God I love you." You tell him, giving him a quick kiss on his cheek. He smiles and says "I love you more." You look over to see different types of pancakes Joshua has made. "Woah. You made all of this?" You asked, moving from behind him, now standing next to him. "Yeah I thought you wanted to have different ones and mix and match them. Plus I wanted different flavors too so I thought might as well." He says flipping the pancakes he was working on. "Those look amazing!" You commented. Joshua grins. "Why thank you my dear." He replies. The two of you giggle and You look at him as he looks at you and the two of you smile as Joshua leans in to give you a kiss. "Did you sleep well?" He asks. "I did. Did you?" You reply. He nods his head and places the finished pancake on the plate. As Joshua finished his last stack of pancakes you watched. "Your bed is so comfy." You say. Joshua widens his eyes and says "Right?!? It's like sleeping on a cloud!" He says, turning off the stove, putting the pan to the side. "Now. The pancakes are complete!" He states. You cheer. "Awesome! I can't wait to eat them!" You reply.
