A New Beginning

Chapter 27

I carefully get out of bed and make my way to the kitchen to make some breakfast for the two of us. I am looking in the fridge one thing that catches my eyes are CINNAMON ROLLS. I silently squeal to myself knowing this is going to be sooo good and the babies enjoying this deliciousness. I am pulling the pan out of the oven, and also finish up some bacon I feel some strong arms circle me and feel a kiss on my temple.

"Good Morning babe why did you cook breakfast you should still be sleeping."

"Yeah, that is a big negative I felt an arm or leg and they decided that I needed to wake up buy kicking me in Ribs."

"So I got a call from Hammer this morning and he came up with something I think would be amazing for all five of us for a few days"

"and that would be what"

"Well I know your not to familiar with some of the customs in Louisiana but it is Mardi Gras weekend and I think it would be the perfect way to have fun and get away from all of this"

"Ryder I do not think that is the best idea I am huge and have to pee every 15 min and I know I can not stand for very long. Don't people stand all day?"

"Well we thought of that. Whiskey's family owns a small house on St. Charles where all the parades go down. I will just pull you out a chair and we can sit right there in fact you don't have to leave the gate your so close to the street the riders can throw beads and not leave the property. There is also a bathroom and if you want to take a nap when everything is going on our bedroom is on the bottom floor where we don't have to go up to many steps."

"You know what let's do it sounds fun. I have never been to New Orleans or Mardi Gras"

We decide to leave go down Thursday morning and we will apparently see around 14 parades and we will come home Monday morning. Hammer decided to close the bar since all the main workers and owners are going to be gone. We have arrived in the city but have been stuck in traffic and I mean standstill for over thirty minutes. Since we haven't moved I have to pee so bad and there is not a god damn thing I can do. Ryder and Hammer notice my discomfort and ask if I was ok and I told them my predicament and the whole car just laughs. "You know its not funny yall I have to pee." They all look around and Ruby notices an RV five spots up.

"Come with me I got an idea"

We get out of the truck and she pulls me in front of her and people start to laugh I have a feeling they know what is about to happen. She bangs on the RV and someone opens the door.

"Yeah, I am sorry I will give you 40 dollars if my friend can use your bathroom as you can see shes heavily pregnant and we don't need her to have an accident".

 He nods his head and allows me to use the bathroom. I am so embarrassed but it would have been much worse if I had an accident in the car. I finish and thank them for their kindness and get back to the car at this point my face is beet red from embarrassment. We make it back to the car and everyone starts to just bust out laughing oh yall shut up. We finally make it to our destination with took once we got here 2 hours just from the traffic that is just crazy. We unloaded the car and made our way to the house and I just take in all the surroundings I can see beads in trees, light poles, and road signs. I can see people already sitting on the sides of the streets with tents and music.

"This is a lot to take in," I say to Ruby

"Yeah and its a lot of fun even though you can't drink Whiskey got you a gallon of virgin daiquiri mix to make you feel where you are left out"
