"Eeeeek, I got a Valentines card I bet it was from Joe, handsome Joe who goes to the posh school!"
Candi-Rose exclaims.
'If only she knew how I truly felt about her' thought Bird. ' But what about our friendship, I could ruin it in a second. What would the others say? What about Jay?"
"Hey Bird do you want to go out and play football?" asked Jay
"Yeah sure", Bird replied.
Whilst both brothers were playing in the garden, May-li, the co- careworker, was making a start on the lunch. The rest were either doing their chores, sitting in their room, on the computer or were watching t.v.
Candi-Rose and Chloe were chilling in their room when Candi-Rose decided to message Joe via Facebook. She sent the message. It read "thank you for the card and chocolates it was really sweet".
'Typing...'
"Your very welcome x" the message replied.
Candi-Rose was overwhelmed with the kiss at the end of the message and showed Chloe and ran downstairs to find her good friend.
"Ahhh, Bird look he replied".
"Ah that's erm yeah good for you" Bird hestitantly replied.
' What? But... but it was me who sent the gifts not Joe??' Bird thought whilst reading the message on Candi's phone.
'He's such a liar!'
Ping!
The phone pings and a message is received to Candi-Rose. She grabs the phone of Bird and opens it. As soon as her fingers click open her eyes are wide open.
"OMG, he wants to meet up!"
After discussing their meet up Candi-Rose messages back "its a date, see you later".
Candi-Ross excitedly asks Chloe for make up advice and goes straight to her bedroom to get ready.
Knock knock. It was time.
Joe comes in with his posh suit. "My lady are we ready" Joe lends his hands to Candi -Rose.
Candi-Rose waves goodbye to May-li and her friends before closing the door after her.
Through the date, Candi-Rose asks Joe how he knew the chocolates he gave her were her favourite. Joe goes quiet and changes the subject in a flash. They were sitting understand the dun, near the river with their picnic when suddenly Joe sits up and faces Candi-Rose.
Joe grabs her hand and tucks her hair behind her ears. He leans in. She leans in. He whispers in her ear "will you be my girlfriend". She gives no reply but instead pulls him closer. After a second she opens her eyes to see Bird on the other side.
' What is happening?' Candi-Ross thought.
"Are you okay Candi-Rose?"
"...er...erm...yeah sorry. It was nice litlle evening we should call it a day otherwise May-li will start to worry".
Joe agrees and they both walk back to the dumping ground. Joe waves and kisses Candi-Rose on the cheek.
Candi-Rose goes upstairs and tells Chloe about the amazing date and doesnt mention the image of kissing Bird.
The next morning, Candi-Rose tries to avoid Bird all morning but it doesn't work when both of them had to clean the kitchen, as one of their chores.
Whilst some kids were outside playing, some in town and in their rooms, these both people had a chance to really talk.
" So... how was the date?"
"It was great, thanks. How was your day Bird?"
" It was alright, bit boring".
"Oh right". Candi-Rose blushed and sighed.
" Joe asked me to be his girlfriend" Candi-Rose excitedly screams.
"What? And what did you say?"
"Well I said yes"
"What why?"
" Erm because I like him maybe even love him"
Birds fingers turned pale along with his colour of his face. Bird was furious and bursted his feelings out.
"Are you being serious? I thought that card and Chococlates would make you happy and they did but they weren't from your so called boyfriend. They were from me. I liked you. I still like you. Why do you go and agree to be his girlfriend?"
Candi-Rose was shocked and speechless.
Bird embarrassed apologies and quickly attempts to escape the kitchen.
But before he could run, Candi-Ross grabs him by the arm and pulls him closer and whispers I wish you would have told me sooner. Bird smiles and leans in to kiss Candi-Rose. But their moment is startled when Jody enters the kitchen.
